Educational Toy that Teaches Horrific Grammar

Comments about LeapFrog LeapPad Ultra eBook - Letters on the Loose:

I usually like the Leapfrog products but today I was astounded to hear the LeapPad2 say "Some machines got extra parts" while my son was playing Letters on the Loose. I thought I misheard the thing so I looked at the screen only to learn that I did not mishear or misunderstand anything. I pay a premium for good educational toys for my children and I am okay with doing so; however, because I pay a premium, I expect those toys to not provide lessons in improper grammar under the guise of education. I really almost threw the entire thing out but for the fact that it would have probably broken my son's heart. I hope that the company more carefully scrutinizes its products in the future, removes the current Letters on the Loose from shelves, and fixes this problem and any others about which I may not have yet learned. It is truly unbelievable. (In complete candor and total fairness to LeapFrog, their customer service was apologetic and offered to replace the cartridge for me).

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

My kids are familiar with Leap characters so when he got this game he already knew about them. He just turned 5 and he loves this game!
