The overall look and feel of this chair is nice for the price. However, whether you are ordering online or in the store, pay special attention to the colors (the box it comes in doesn't say the color, but if the employees knew how to look up product numbers, they can get you the right one). This chair comes in a variety of colors and many people question the color. They do have a gray one that is most commonly on display in their stores but is almost always out of stock at every location. This color is also not currently sold online, just the brown one is. I drove 45 miles to get the gray one yesterday that they said was the last gray one in the entire state of Utah. Asked them twice if they were certain it was the gray one and they reassured me it was. Got home, and it's the brown one. Not even the employees know how to check the product numbers to ensure you're getting the right color which resulted me in driving 2 hours total just to get it home and realize it was the wrong one. Make sure it's the right color before ordering!

I've had my eye on this chair for sometime now, as my due date approaches I decided it was time to complete the nursery and this chair is a big part of it. I Picked it up at the babies r us near my house. Had a quick check out, great help at the store. Assembly was very easy, I put it together all by myself and I'm 9 months pregnant, I love the fabric, I love how it looks, It's very comfortable and our 5 year old son loves to rock in it as well! I haven't used it to rock her to sleep since she's not here yet but I'm looking forward to those long nights rocking her to sleep. I love everything about this chair. The color is like a dark greyish brown. It looks grey to me though. Depends on the lighting I guess.

My husband and I wanted a more modern looking glider for our daughter's nursery, and we were really pleased to find this one. It's easy to assemble and very quiet. Great quality for the price, too! I have to agree that the head rest could be a little more comfortable, but it's nothing a small pillow behind your head can't fix (we have a decorative pillow on our chair anyway).
To answer the question about the chair's exact color (we were confused at first, like a lot of other reviewers) - we thought it was dark gray when we first assembled it, but it *can* look brown in some lights. The best way I can describe it is a perfect mix of the two -- it is "grayish-brown". That said, it works either way because it's so neutral. The tone is cool, not warm, so it should fit in to a nursery with either brown or gray tones. Hope this helps!

Easy to put together. Very pretty. It was a bit uncomfortable and firm at first but after sitting in it a few times the cushion has become much softer.

I bought this rocking chair for a friend that is having a baby. She really likes it and it was easy to put together. Only complaint is the back cushion height. It is not the most comfortable to rest your head. An extra cushion or a slightly taller one would be nice.

I haven't really rocked in it yet. Still waiting for little one to be born but I can tell that it will definitely do the job. For the money this rocker is absolutely beautiful and looks to be well made and sturdy. For those on a budget but want a nice looking chair choose this one.

Very solid, little assembly, glides very smooth, looks great. If you like a little firmer seat it's comfortable. Only thing I would have liked is a pillow for your head. Its hard to find modern looking baby furniture but this is pretty sharp.

I want to first start with the good news... this glider is very nice to look at and for the price it is reasonably comfortable! It was pretty easy to put together, and I loved all of the color options!

Okay for the bad...as we were putting it together we noticed a very stong odor. It smelled to me like gasoline. After I had given it several hours to air out the odor had taken up my whole house. I called Babies R Us and they were very nice about it, but said the manufacturer must have put it in the box while the stain was still wet. They only had one in stock (which after checking also had the odor) and none to order from the warehouse.
Also, the box to bring it home in is an odd size and wouldnt fit in the car or trunk (which they told me it would before I came to pick it up) so mack sure you have at least an suv to pick the box up in.

This glider and ottoman were easy to put together and look really nice. However, they are really uncomfortable! When you lay your head back, your head hits the wood part of the chair, so it is not cushioned at all. Makes it difficult for those late night feedings. The set was returned, because it is comfort that matters in the end.
