Its the best money spent in the past 5 years. Side note. Dont buy the $40 leap pad battery pack. You can use the typical duracell or energizer rechargable battires for just $14. A must have!

My granddaughter 4 years old is still crying when I had to tell her the her beloved leap pad could not be replaced because I was told by TRU customer service that it was my fault for not purchasing the warranty (which incidently) I did not see the link for this) I am so disappointed that I will certainly tell all my friends and relatives on the island and stateside of this incident. The screen should be made of a stronger material in order for a 4 year old to break it .

My granddaughter loved it till she realized it did not work. It was for her 5 birthday and she was so sad. She ripped opened the packaging at her party because she was so excited. The leap pad 2 will not stay charged and we have put in new batteries and charged it.Not allowed to take it too the store because we do not have the packaging. But have all the receipts. EASY RETURN NOT TRUE.

My five year old son and 3 year old granddaughter both received a LeapPad2 from Santa. Both are able to enjoy all the apps and share with each other. I like the variety of apps although they can be a little pricey. I also like that it can play music, videos, books, and games. I have not had any issues with memory and it is straightforward and easy to use with minimal guidance. I love that the stylus cannot be lost and that it can be modified for a child's level. I would change being able to add personal music to it as my son would like to use it as a music player and listening to Jake and the Neverland Pirates over and over again is getting a little old. I think it would also be good if it could connect to wifi and play online versions of the downloadable apps rather than having to use memory to download them. Overall I would recommend this product.

My girls usually argue about everything because they share room. My husband and I bought them one each for Christmas and things have never been so peaceful. They love everything about it. I love it because they have no idea that it is a learning tool and I can monitor their progress. My only complaint is that my kids play on them so much that they go through batteries pretty swiftly. I highly recommend buying the battery pack.

My son had the Leapster Explorer and when he lost interest, I gave it to my 3 year old daughter. She took such an interest to it, I bought her a Leappad 2 for Christmas. She was so excited! In the 4 months she has had it, I have seen a huge difference in her vocabulary and she is starting to write her letters on paper. We both love the fact that we can buy apps and TV shows to put onto it. Her birthday is in a few weeks and we keeps asking for nothing but stuff for her Leappad 2! The only problem I had was she kept making extra profiles, which I figured out how to get the parental settings up (hold down the home button and the volume up button at the same time) Best purchase I've made since I bought the Leapster Explorer!!!

The screen cracks too easy and they can not be fixed!!! While my granddaughter absolutely loves hers, we are now on the 4th and final one. I have decided that while we have invested a lot of money in games and apps, I will look for another brand if this one cracks. Leapfrog should really design a sturdier screen...wish I had know before I purchased the first one!

My 2 year old (about to turn 3 year old) daughter loves this toy! It has even kept my 8 year old son and his cousin busy at times. It's a good size for toddlers and makes them feel like a big kid with their own tablet. I like the educational games, and how there are characters she can relate to. I would definitely recommend a protective case and the rechargeable battery for it eats regular batteries! Definitely worth the investment.
