My 8 year old is LOVING Brok! Picture Transformers, but transforming your kids can actually do... (such a relief, I can't tell you how many times my kids have handed me other toys that they constantly wanted me to transform. They just couldn't figure out how to do it themselves - so frustrating! I buy toys for them to play with... to keep them creative and occupied - not to keep me busy - I'm busy enough!)

I will tell you right now... I didn't have huge expectations of this. My littlest guy is almost 8, so he is right at the top of the age range; and honestly, he has been more into computer and hand held games lately than toys.

Vtech has proven my instincts WRONG... My kiddo has been entertained for HOURS with this toy! Hours I tell you... and I am so excited to see him creatively playing with toys instead of sitting behind a computer screen. And... don't tell them I told you, but my 10 year old has also spent a significant amount of time with these, AND... I have even caught my 12 year old playing with them! Grant it, I still would not out-right purchase these for my 10 and 12 year olds, they would be offeneded that I purchased them a toy that clearly says for 3-8 year olds... BUT they have enjoyed them to some extent!

If you have a 3-8 year old little guy, I fully recommend VTech's new Switch & Go Dinos - they would make a perfect Birthday or Christmas Gift! They combine two of boys' most popular toys - dinosaurs and vehicles - to create a unique 2-in-1 play experience - how can you go wrong with that?

This was a present for my son for his 5th birthday. On TV it looks like it does a lot more than it actually does. It seems as if it has controls to make his neck move, but it is all manual. This is not a big deal though, as most toys are. With almost every part change, from tank to Dino or back, you have to press a button to release the
part from it's position. I was constantly hearing "mommy, can you help me"?! Not only was it annoying (not my son, the toy) to me, it was frustrating for my son. The parts are somewhat loose to allow for change ability, which to me meant it would be breaking soon. I guess I thought this would be more sturdy. I think it comes down to the age suggestion, I believe it's wrong. Older kids would probably have more fun with this toy. We LOVE Vtech toys, so we were bummed when this one didn't work out. Plus this looked weird when it was the tank OR the Dino.

This was a Christmas present for one of our daughters. I think our kids actually prefer the smaller Dinos since this one does take a bit more work to transform, but they figured it out pretty quickly. They sometimes need help transforming the neck portion as it can be a bit stubborn but it has gotten easier with use. They LOVE that it launches the little pterodactyl off the car (and we love that it has a soft tip... Good thinking vtech!) and they can also load and launch the smaller switch & gos on his back. They actually play with this more in carrier mode than dino mode. It is a bit awkward to carry, but not a real issue. Wish they would make some girl Dinos, too! Definitely a good purchase...she used gift cards to complete the whole set after Christmas! Really fun toy!

"Santa" brought this for my 6 year old son this year. He was beyond excited since it was in his top 5 on his list. But he got alot less excited once he started changing him from a dino to a car and vice versa.He loved the little guy in the screen but he could not get the switch to go over very smoothly. It took my husband, my son and myself to get him switched over and to stay. We followed the directions to a "T" but just couldnt get it to stay. So he now sits in the in between position in my sons rooms hardly played with. All the work to change him back and forth took the fun out of it for him. Its made really well and has even lasted being thrown a few times by his 2 year old brother. Wish the tranisition was easier and stayed otherwise its not a bad toy. Im also glad "Santa" got it on sale otherwise he would have been even more disappointed if he paid full price for it.

My son received this for Xmas from us and quickly lost interest in it. I've seen more action packed into a non posable figurine in a crystal case and locked away from view. sadly the amount of movable parts on this toy just screams "im gonna break down on you if you move my parts wrong" I strongly suggest something, anything else beside this or any other bot in this group.
