My son has loved all of the 8 VTech cars we've gotten to go with his parking garage, so when I saw the car carrier online, I registered for it without ever seeing it in person, which was a mistake. My only expectation was that it would be a car carrier, so that my son would be able to tote all 8 of his cars around to any location, or pack them up in the car for a trip.

I received the item as a gift, and it has been a huge waste. It is NOT really a car carrier (you can fit a maximum of three cars inside, which is basically the same number my son could have fit in his hands anyway) and since the doors don't lock, they all fall out anyway. Furthermore, the product is loud and is constantly makings demands such as, "Tighten the wheels with the wrench!" or "Fix the flat with the spare tire!" even though it does not come equipped with the tools to make this possible. I wish is could say it was an educational toy, but it is just useless. My son pushes the buttons manically until he gets sick of hearing the noises, and then moves on to his other toys.

My 11 months old son received this as a gift. When I had everything set for him to play. I immediately noticed he was bitting on the road signs and the stickers came off right away after only couple minutes out of the box. I had to set all signs away so he wouldn't ruin anymore of that. The ramp does not stay at all. It was really frustrating for him to have it stay still. After couple days of playing, I started to notice that he doesn't play with it except the toy truck which it came with.

The Drop down Ramp does not stay up at all!!! Kept falling down whenever we would put the truck on it. So that was frustrating for me and for my son. Also would be nice if all the signs that came with it had a spot for them so that way everything could stay together! Will be exchanging this toy very soon for something that actually works!

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
