it's good for a 3-4 year old...older than that they will get bored (if they are used to play with computer, cell phone).
camera is 1.3 mega pixels and doesn't have a flash so the quality of the pictures are so so. You have to buy games or download on the web site....so it make this very expensive at the end. it uses regular batteries.

I went back and forth between this product and the Leap Pad 2. Very similar but we went for this one because of the price and the ability to add extra memory. Our daughter barely wants to put it down, which is kind of a bum deal because it takes four AA batteries! Wish it had an internal battery like my tablet! I also found a great (and informational) youtube review, the dad shows you even more benefits of this tablet over the LP2 and even shows you "how to's"! I am very happy with this purchase!

With everyone on I pods, I pads, and Kindles, younger children 3-5 don't have to be left out. My granddaughter loves her Inno-Tab 2. She has apps that allow her to count, identify objects, take pictures, and even create videos and her own art work. She feels like a big girl with her own electronic device.

I got this for my 3 year old daughter for Christmas. We ourchased a Kindle Fire for her Angry Bird obsessed 5 year old brother and wanted to find a somewhat comparable gift that would work for a younger child. I researched this and several similar tablets with the reviews for this one consistently more positive. I should add that I can't totally review this item since we have had it for a short period of time.
My daughter was thrilled when she opened this gift. The colors and design were certainly very appealing to her. It also did not require much set up at all. The included cartridge is fun and educational. We have not yet purchased any other games (the bundle that included the Hello Kitty game was unfortunately sold out) but there is a very wide variety of games that feature many televisionshows that both my kids love (Mickey, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, etc). It also seems quite durable, having been dropped a few times with no ill effects.
I would recommend purchasing the rechargeable battery pack and/or the adaptor.
By the way, my 5 year old son, while THRILLED with his Kindle, continually tries to "steal" his little sisters Innotab! :-)

We purchased this at TRU for a Christmas gift for my daughter.. It was on Layaway for a month and when she opened it Christmas morning, the screen was broken. The unit still works, but it's annoying to try to play with a broken screen... hopefully they'll exchange it.

I would not recommend this product. They do not replace screen if it brakes. They say warranty is only for replacement if not normal wear and tear. THey do not consider a 3 year old dropping it NORMAL! Very upset. Just bought it. She already broke it. They would not let me talk to a manager when I talked to the company. I asked several times. I even had someone call and ask. They refused. (called InnoTab Directly) RUDE

My 2 yr old daughter loved the innotab 2! Could not be happier and the camara is a plus! we travel so this game really comes in handy. It is by far waaaay better than the first innotab (she had both). if u use rechargeble batteries you get good play time out of the innotab 2 as opposed to the first innotab. The only thing I would recommend is that it come with a gel skin as a extra incentive. However, the game itself is very durable. It can hold up against a couple of drops.
