Long overdue, this is the second McFarlane figure of New York Rangers savior/goaltender Henrik Lundqvist. The first figure, from Series 13, commands exceptionally high prices, so I was thrilled that we'd be getting a new Lundqvist as part of Series 32. As with all of the "newer" goaltenders, no net is included (sadly!), though a nameplated base is. The figure itself is spot-on: King Henrik is snapping his glove out to make the save. I was initially VERY disappointed by 2 things: the color of the jersey, facemask, pads- nearly everything- seemed "off": they aren't white. Instead, there's a distinct tan added to all of the main sections, except for the stick (which is bright white). Then I noticed some highlights in white, as well. Additionally, Lundqvist has black "grease lines" under his eyes, which he doesn't typically wear. This all set me back, until I finally noticed the small label under the Rangers logo on the package: Henrik Lundqvist WEARING WINTER CLASSIC JERSEY. I did a quick google search to refresh my memory of that game, and sure enough, the detailing is spot-on for Lundqvist's appearance in the Winter Classic. Eye grease, beige jersey, everything. In fact, it made me realize just how incredibly accurate the figure is! No complaints- rest assured, the King is Back! Thank you, McFarlane!!!
