      Does not work as shown. When attached to an MP3 player the volume can only be turned up so far and then it starts breaking up. You have to hold the speaker very close to your ear just to hear it.

          Perfect for when headphones aren't wanted. Ok, it's one speaker, so no silly comments about it lacking bass, etc. For my needs it's great ... no long cord, fits in my computer bag with all the other gadgets. And the battery, it depends on how loud you're playing. The instructions say let the battery go completely dead before first charge ... so I left it on (very low) overnight to kill it, but it's still going strong lol.

          This little speaker is tiny and self-contained, and excellent for playing songs on the go without headphones! I'm using this with a Sansa Clip+ and it's great! You shouldn't expect wide frequency response or "surround sound" -but you'll be impressed by the volume and clarity of the audio for the cube's tiny size. Battery does indeed last a long time before needing a recharge. Great product!

            I bought the Boom Cube because I wanted to be able to share my music with my friends without having to use headphones. I have an iPod Nano that doesn't have a speaker, and this little speaker seemed the best option since it was small and super portable. I plugged it in and was amazed at the volume of the sound that came out of it! I had the volume all the way up, but even half way it still sounded really good. It gets a little static-y when the sound is to the max, so I turn it a little lower but it's still very loud. It actually was TOO loud while sitting about two feet away. The sound isn't PERFECT and I'm sure audio fanatics will find alot of fault with the quality of the sound, but for a portable speaker to use when you don't want headphones, it's absolutely fine!

            I just bought it today, and am currently charging it for the first time, so I have no comment on how long the battery actually lasts, but the instruction manual said 3-5 hours on a full charge...depending on how loud you have it.
