This is a terribly frustrating toy. Designed to be "destroyed" by the flying angry birds that you launch, this implicitly means the setup is difficult and unstable to assemble. The concept here by knex is great, the execution, especially for children is awful. IF you can work with your child to successfully set this up once, that will be the last time. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT.

Box looks great BUT the parts are too small and too numerous. Takes an adult or very patient older child to assemble. By the nature of the game (knocking the birds over) the parts do not stay together very well and once they are hit, MANY SMALL parts go in every direction. Kids get very tired of reassembly and just set the bird heads on something and shoot at them. Thus you have a very expensive non-usable "leggo-like" set which no one plays with. DO NOT PURCHASE this game unless you enjoy hours of very minute assembling of small parts and only seconds of destruction after which the kids will go back to the video game.

Bought 3 sets of these for my son for his birthday. Unfortunately, they opened 2 of them right away when they got home so pieces got mixed up. Bricks do not hold together well, they fall apart with the slightest movement. THey are WAY OVERPRICED for the quality of the product. Instructions are difficult even for an adult to comprehend. Slingshot doesn't launch the birds AT ALL like it shows on the instructions. I wish I could take them back, but I'm not sure Toys R Us would return them open boxed. Luckily I have 1 that is not open and I will be returning it and getting LEGOS instead!!!!

Bought this set to adorn my son's Space Angry Birds cake, for which it was stunning. But now my son loves building the K'Nex and then shooting the birds at it to knock it down and start over. My son is 6 and he follows the instructions perfectly to build the planet. The whole set is very durable and high quality- I especially love the birds- so sturdy. The slingshot is a little difficult to pinch to shoot the birds, but we're getting the hang of it.
