The design and functionality is right on. The gate works well and stops the little ones from opening it. The surronding fence is perfect in its design that stops the child from putting their fingers or toes through the opening. I have purchased several of these sets and put them in my yard to prevent the children from running out into the street.

This play yard is just what I was looking for. I eventually added the 2 panel extension and it mades a nice large play area. It is solid and sturdy. A couple adults, baby and all her toys can easily fit in it.

Got this play yard to keep my grandson away from dog hairs on my carpet. Was easy to put together and I'm 67 yrs. old. I love it having a gate so I don't have to bend over. Bought 16 piece playmat as base and so far so good.

We purchased this play yard for our twin granddaughters who are 8 mos old. We have been babysitting them since they were 3 mos old. Since they started rolling, crawling etc, we knew we needed large, safe area for them. This is perfect! Gives them safe area as well as giving us a break and peace of mind. It was extremely easy to set up...only had to click one panel together....everything else was together, even gate. It is well made, seems strong and stays put on carpet. Look forward to taking outside this summer. The 4 star rating was due to the gate...not easy to open or close. Seems like latch doesn't match up right. Our daughter also bought one and loves it as much as we do....her gate works fine. We both purchased the white models....colored one was too busy looking, especially when you add in all their toys.

This is her own seperate place where she could play and watch T.V. without touching everything in the living room. Now i wont need to run after her while im cooking. The color and gate are great! I absolutely love it! It is heavy and it's kinda hard to set up. I suggest to make it a little bit lighter and easy to set up.

I use this play yard to secure my 3 grand-daughters(6 panels total)for babysitting. The more panels the sturdier/weight it is and more room for happier children to play. It was very dangerous for me to step over the panels with the babies or to reach over and pick up the girls. (Back strain)I couldn't manage to watch all three girls if I didn't have this system. It's a life saver! I also bought a gate play yard for my daughter's birthday. (Single mother of one and a half:)
The only thing I have reservations on is the locking system on the gate. The spring in the latch came loose and I had to unscrew the panel and re-hook the spring and add a missing screw in the panel. I'm a handy Nana and it wasn't difficult at all. Maybe the missing screw was the reason the spring came loose.

I don't care much for this. It's heavy and difficult to setup/take down. Also, it's incredibly loud to adjust. So, don't plan on moving it while kids are napping which is my biggest beef. I wish there was a way to use it as a wall better.(like some kind of weighted foot pieces. I think it only recommends using it as a hexagon.

On the positive side it's a pretty sturdy(but heavy) fence. It's been pretty good for grabbing with the little fingers. It's a good height.(not sure if they vary)

I have an 8 month old, and this has worked out really well for us. If I need to take a moment to wash a dish or fold some laundry without her running around the house, I can close just close the gate. She also enjoys playing with her toys inside the gated area. Definitely would buy again.

I watch a child in addition to my mobile infant. The North States gate works well to keep my daughter away from the fire place and entertainment center.

It isn't very easy to move each panel though. Be sure to leave yourself a few minutes to set it up.
