This game has an option for you to narrate the pages yourself. You push the arrow button at the bottom and push the microphone and you record your own voice. Then, if you choose the option, you can hear your own narration of the book. I love it. You have to talk loud into the microphone I've noticed. The books have 3 stages of reading. 1, 2, and 3 so that you can adjust the amount of words used per page. Its got 2 adventure books plus about 6 or 9 mini games to play. This book is definately one that "grows with child".

I bought this for my child so she can learn on the go. She does not really like doing book work so thought this would be a perfect way for her to learn how to read. It is more like having fun while learning and not just learning. I think it is a great investment and am very pleased. She loves it. I would recommend this to any parent who looks for fun and educational items. This was my number one choice for educational tools. So glad I got this for her. This is a perfect item to get for any occasion for any children you know who have a hard time sitting down doing book work. Thank you. We love it so much.

Bought this for my 3-year old for Christmas. He's a young three, so at this point he's mainly listening to the stories and somewhat interacting with them. I like that the stories can grow with him as he learns to sound out words and recognize site words, and that the interactions will become more advanced. I wish there were more than two stories though. Also, my son gets a little impatient with the "Loading" screen that pops up occasionally, especially since this doesn't happen with any of his other cartridges.
