My 2 year old daughter received this drum set as a gift from her grandmother for her birthday. We put it together that night. She loved it. The next day, she hit the base drum pedal(a little too hard apparently) and the whole drum set fell forward. The cymbal hit the ground first and snapped off where it connects to the base. Tons of fun, VERY poor design.

This is a useless piece of garbage. My 4 year old got this for Christmas and I was so disappointed at the terrible quality. The first thing I noticed is that the kick pedal is non-functional. It's so stiff it's impossible for a toddler to step on it and make contact with the bass drum. If you remove it then the drum set barely stands on its own, keeps falling over. It's a fairly heavy with metal parts all over it so if you have another curiuous young child this set can and will fall on them without the bass drum pedal attached. The set is now in the basement and in the queue for the next toy donation. I know it's a toy but there have to be better options out there.

I was surprised at the quality of the drum set for the price. Easy to setup. One thing I would suggest is to add a stool to the package but other than that I was satisfied with the product.

Just what I expected. I have two boys ages 3 and 1. The drum is sturdy enough. Had no problems putting it together, we've had it for about 3 weeks now. My 1 yr old is quite rough with it but apart from the cymbal coming off when the set gets pushed down, the drum is holding up pretty good. My boys love it!

I would recommend this to anyone with toddlers.

We bought this as a gift for my 6 year old son and he loves it! It's a little smaller than I expected and I wish the foot attachment was attached more securely but he thinks it's great.

The First Act Drum Set was everything I thought it would be and more. It was just what I needed for my one year old (Bobby) fascination with the drums. Seeing Bobby's face Christmas 2012 morning was priceless. He could entertain his friends and family for hours. They aren't too loud or too much for Bobby to handle.

I only wish the drum had a designated place for the drumsticks. Having to look for them every morning hasn't not been fun. Bobby's love for playing the drums makes it worth the trouble.

I would recommend this product to anyone with a young child that has a fascination with the drums. That isn't yet ready for the "Real Thing".

You can really get a kick out of this drum. Its very sturdy and the person I got it for loved it ! and plays it all day, its loud but that's drums ! It's a good drum set, i totally recommend !

I bought the discovery drum set for my almost 5 year old Grandson for Christmas. The symbols have a "pop on" to hold them on. It has popped off constantly since Christmas day. The last time it popped it disappeared and they are now being held on by a rubber band. I'm not happy with this product. I've bought several discovery toys and this is the first I've had a real issue with.

He wakes up asking for his drums and kisses them good night. They are sturdy enough for a toddler, but also produce a good sound. The foot pedal is tricky, but he'll get there soon enough I'm sure. Best Christmas present we could have given him.

I bought this for Christmas for my 8 year old son. It took my hubby 20 minutes to put it together. My son loves the drum set! It's a great starter set.
