I bought this for both my seven year old, who is gifted, and my 4 year old niece and both absolutely love it. We use it to discover new things about different places and it is often our jumping off point for a learning project, an outing, or even a recipie! The kids love using it to bring ideas out in their own world and I love that they ask questions relating to diversity. I'd like it to be an actual globe (I'm one for a little more realistic approach) but that's the only issue I have and it's not a major one. Keep what doing what you are doing LeapFrog!

I was excited about this product, as my 4-year-old loves geography, and this seemed like a great way for her to learn independently about it. It seems like there are lots of fun facts to learn, but she can't access them because the pieces don't stay together! Even when I was putting it together with her the first time, I couldn't get the pieces to lock into place enough to assemble without a great deal of trouble, so you can imagine how it fell apart when she started leaning on it, pressing on it with her Tag pen, etc. Very disappointing...it's already back in the box to return it.

Early Christmas at Walt Disney World. Lots of excitement even for the 4 year old. Pieces were easy to put together and didn't stay together when they tried to flip it to see the map on the other side...haha! We explored a lot with the games and everyone was able to understand and find answers. Kids ages: 4, 6 & 8. Can't wait for older children to play LeapPad2 Global Adventure now that they are familiar with continents and oceans. Little guy will love love love the getting the Explorer to himself! Little sis is only 2.5 yr old and lives away, but she got her first Tag Reader.

My son asked for this for his birthday and was very excited to get it. He is 5 and had a difficult time putting it together because the pieces wouldn't stay together. Even the slightest shift would cause the puzzle to come apart. He asked for my help, and I was annoyed with the issue. We got it put together, and he tried to play with it. The problem continued as he was trying to play with it and he finally gave up and asked if he could put it away. Ugh!

My mom got this for my son for his birthday, when she couldn't find the regular fold-out Tag map. The short story is that the pieces don't lock together well, so it is very difficult to put together, and then very good to keep together while the kids play with it with the Tag pen. I'm returning it for sure.

The first question my son asked was where are we, followed with where is the North Pole, and to my dismay there is none, nor a South Pole on this map. VERY dissapointing to say the least, how could you guys miss that on a kids map? Otherwise they enjoyed it!
