My daughter whom is 3 1/2 years old absolutely loves Froggy Feeding Fun. This particular set is in a must have product for your preschooler. The two rubber frogs included are made to emphasize proper handwriting position in developing thumb-forefinger strength by squeezing the frogs mouths to open! How neat is that?

Along with those awesome muscle building frogs in the set, 60 flies, 1 number cube, 1 color cube and Activity Guide are also included. Children can develop number sense, color, and counting recognition. The activity guide gives several suggested activities and intervention strategies to do with your child in getting the most out of the Froggy Feeding Fun Activity set.

My daughter and I have been sitting together a few days a week and playing with this set together. We've right now been rolling the color and number dice and feeding our frogs that particular number to see who can fill up their frogs mouth completely first! She's been having a lot of fun with it. I have seen great results in her pencil holding and also in her counting ability, both things she was struggling with before!

There's nothing I dislike about this set. The recommend age of use is for children ages 3-7 and I would say with the numerous ways you can use this activity kit that's about perfect. This product is great for home or classroom use! I would highly recommend anyone looking for a fun way to teach counting, colors, taking turns, and looking to develop fine motor skills in a exciting way.

I bought it for my daughter who needs to strengthen her hand muscles. I thought is was really attractive and most of all targeting what we needed. The frogs were too rigid and could not be used. My husband and I were not even able to open the frog's mouth with one hand. It is intended for pre-k age. We ended up discarding them because it is not usable.Very disappointed.

Comments about Learning Resources Avalanche Fruit Stand Game:

As an OT working in a school system I ordered this game as a fun way to increase fine motor skills and intrinsic hand strength. It also targets turn taking, color and fruit identification and simple counting. I am not disappointed. The kids love using the tongs to pick up fruit. I can adjust the game for level and understanding of the particular student.

The game itself is easy to set up and the tongs and fruit pieces are durable enough to withstand the frequent use. I am able to pack it up nicely to go in my bag from school to school. This game is a keeper!

The frogs mouths are much too difficult to open. There is no way my preschooler can use it as directed when I can't squeeze it hard enough to open its mouth to pick up a fly.

Comments about Learning Resources Avalanche Fruit Stand Game:

I was excited to give this to my 3 year old daughter who loves frogs. However was quickly disappointed to find the rubber frogs are so stiff it is impossible for a child to squeeze them to open their mouths. It was difficult enough for myself and my husband to use them let alone our kids. In fact it would probably give us RSI if we were to play a game. It's completely useless and not at all suitable for kids to use. I'm VERY surprised by the previous positive comments. Will be seeking a refund!

My 7-year old son gets excited to play this game. He thinks the whole idea of trying to not let the fruit fall is very funny. I bought it for him because he needs help developing his fine motor skills. The tweezers that come with it work the best, but we also take turns using some tools that come in the Helping Hands Fine Motor Tool Set.

Comments about Learning Resources Avalanche Fruit Stand Game:

The idea behind this game is great. I am a special education kindergarten teacher and we bought this game because of the fine motor aspect added with having to open the mouths of the frogs. The trouble is, the frogs are so small that I have a hard time getting more than 3 flies in their mouth at a time, yet the instructions say to play until the flies are gone. Also, the die goes up to 6 and there is no way you are getting 6 flies in those mouths.
I really though this would be a great game but it's pretty useless if would can't follow what the dice tells you to do.

Comments about Learning Resources Avalanche Fruit Stand Game:

I like this game and my son had fun with it. I just wish the frogs were bigger so we could actually fit all the flies inside his mouth. You can only fit 3 to 4 flies in each frog and my son gets a little frustrated by that. Make the frogs bigger OR put a whole under the frog so that it can actually "swallow" the flies. Overall a good entertaining toy.

I bought this game to help strengthen my son's hand grip and to reinforce his hand-eye co-ordination. We found the frogs easy to squeeze but my son is eight years old so he is stronger than the recommended age group for this game.
