Bought the Meep for my 7 year old son. He loves it. Once I got through the set up ( I finally read the start guide) it works great. He likes to play the games more than surf the web and it has all of the games he wants. Very well thought out system for parental controls too. I highly recomend it.

So first let me just say I never leave reviews but I felt it was necessary to leave one for this horrible tablet.

Let's start with the GOOD...The tablet had an awesome parent watch aspect to it. Whatever your child does is basically visable to you. This would be the ONLY good thing about the MEEP! tablet.

The BAD...Where to begin. Okay, When you first get the MEEP! it has 2 updates that you must perform in order for it to function. In order to use the Google Play app you have to use it remotely from another tablet or computer. Once you got to the parent website, you click a link to make it come up on the MEEP! So I found this inconvienent when you are away with your child and want to buy or download a new app. Next, you cannot customize the home screen with any photos or widgets or even shortcuts to apps, that was annoying having to keep scrolling through the little app wheel that they put on the right side of the screen. THE MEEP HAD MANY OTHER ISSUES AS WELL BUT IF I LIST THEM ALL WE WOULD BE SITTING HERE ALL DAY! This is an android tablet that just isnt worth the time and aggravation.

The UGLY!!! This tablet constantly went black, the screen was always doing its own thing and when I needed it to work it never did!

Just so you know all this was happening before I even gave it to my 5 year old as a bday gift. I thought maybe it was just a glitch and it would iron itself out before his birthday so I decided to wrap it up and let him enjoy it anyway...well, that was a bad idea! He had just opened it and we left his school to go home. By the time I got 10 minutes from the school he was in the backseat sooo frustrated and in tears. We didnt even get home, I went straight to the store for my refund and had had this tablet for a total of 7 days. I ended up getting a much better kid's tablet for my son which he loves very much!

JUST SAY NO TO THE MEEP!

    After struggling with the OTA download for several wasted hours, I finally was directed to http://www.meeptablet.com/ota/ where I was able to download the file from my PC and transfer it via usb to my daughter's MEEP. This took all of 10 min. They should include this link as the first sentence.

    This is the most horrible waste of my money. Bought this for my children for Christmas since then we have sent each tablet back this will be the 4th tablet coming back to my house. Thank goodness I bought the warranty because I will be using it to purchase a different tablet. Software is awful the power button on the ones weve had and replaced have broken not allowing you to turn this tablet back on. Save your money do not buy.

        This product is terrible and I was given 3!! It is NOT user friendly. Very time consuming for parents. My children DO NOT even want to play with them. I have a 9, 5 and 3 year old. None of my children want to have anything to do with these. Save yourself the time and paint and AVOID!!! They are no fun!! What a waste of time and money. DO NOT BUY!!!!!

        Got the meep for my 4 year old son on christmas,It was such a pain to set up but it was understood because the web-site was full alot of people trying to go on. Done that set it up it worked great my son loved it and it was easy to use. HOWEVER since the on/off is not a button the on/off switch broke the spring in the inside stopped working and it would not shutt off wich ment the battery alway had to be charged. Got a new one and the same thing happened yet again In just the matter of a couple months. The meep is greatonce you get it working but everytime you sent it out and you get a new one you are paying 20 bucks more to get the warrenty. sent it out yet again but am getting a different meep. And the camera is not so great it should be on the outside so kids can see what they are taking a picture of.

            For the price of it, you might as well just buy a regular tablet. This picture quality is horrible. The graphics on some of the games are like playing old Atari. The thing is so restricted, the kids practically need parental permission just to turn it on! My kids got so board with it so fast, not to mention frustrated at how slow it is. Don't buy it.

                          Has been a horrible experience. I had to return one of the Meeps within 45 days of the two purchased. I reordered another one to replace it from Toy R Us online because the store was out, since then, however The replacement and the other Meep is not working. The timeframe to return to the store is up therefore I will have to go thru the manufacturer.
