This is my daughter's favorite Calico Critters home. It's spacious enough to hold a complete family set of 4 and a twin set.
My daughter loves the working lights, and uses this feature often.
The house my daughter has is slightly different. Hers came with 2 cat figures, not the bunnies and her house doesn't have the upper balcony landing that goes between the upper and lower floors.
This set did come with some furniture, which is nice. It was ready to play with out of the box.
I agree that this house is pretty pricey for a smaller "dollhouse," but it's the only dollhouse my daughter actually likes and uses. I like that the house is pretty sturdy and closes up nicely for when my daughter isn't using it. It also comes with an additional floor piece to use as a "garden" or to expand the lower two rooms. I would recomend buying this house.

Our six year old grandaughter really loves this Calico Critters Set. It is a quality product she wiil enjoy for some time. More bunnies would have been nice.

have not played with it this time around. i bought this for my daughter, now her daughter is getting one. it is a nice alternative to show family life to kids in a lot of families that dont have the traditional mom and dad in it. some are single parents, others are same 'type' parents, the animals make it easier to comprehend family life the way that child has it.

This is a good little dollhouse. It is a nice size, but I would recommend having it up on a little table... like most dollhouses, everything is so small that if it were on the floor, the kids would have a hard time playing with it. Goes together easily, the little lights are great, and the extra pieces are helpful so it is not empty right off the bat. The only negative is the stairs; my kids love using them, but if you try to put them anywhere permanently, it blocks other rooms. The Calico Critters stuff is really expensive, but if you can find a deal, it is really cute.

I bought this plus a few extra sets for my daughter's second birthday. I'll admit, I bought it because I thought it was super cute. When we opened it to play, it surpassed my cuteness expectations. There are a lot of little pieces that I had to put away for using when the kids get older, but that doesn't take away any of the fun. My four year old son, two year old daughter, and myself all enjoy playing with the Calico Critters together. It's a great family activity that encourages imaginative play, bonding, sharing, and nearly anything else that you want to try to incorporate into play time. The Calico Critters brand toys are expensive, which scares away a lot of people, but they're also great quality. I'm confident that we will be able to put ours away for our grandkids to one day play with - which makes them well worth the money.

My granddaughter instantly loved this dollhouse. It was so detailed yet easy to put together. Even though it was pricey, I was impressed with all the accessories and got to enjoy my grandaughter decorating her house as she moved the furniture around.

In a world with buxom Barbie's and botox Bratz, these Calico Critters are just the right amount of imaginative play to not throw your kids into adulthood too soon. They are sweet and innocent as children should be as long as possible. They'll soon grow up anyway!
Great value for so much fun, comes with some furniture and accessories such as a toaster with toast, all individual tiny pieces, even forks and spoon, such detail!

This home is great! Calico critters are precious!! However if you are focused on details for your little one it can be aggravating! This home comes with furniture BUT in order to complete rooms you will end up duplicating the items as the counterparts to the pieces included are only sold as sets with the "free" items in them. Christmas is too close to send this back but if I were to do this again I would find the home(empty and maybe the mansion) and buy the sets to fill it as desired!!! The structures material is like that of the playmobil homes.

I bought this toy last Christmas as a gift for my 8 years old daughter. She wanted it so much since she saw it in one of the adds catalog. I bought everything that you can possibly imagine, a house that comes practically "naked", a family, all the furniture and a car. I though my daughter was going to spend all her free time playing with it. After setting everything inside the house that has very tiny rooms we realized that we couldn't fit everything so we had a lot of left overs. All the kitchen eqiupment including plates, little foods etc., are so ridiculously small that my daughter could't play with it and eventually most off them are lost.
All I can say, I would never bought this toy if I new that my daughter would have a hard time playing with it. I wouldn't recommend it to my friends or family. It's a waist of money, it's made way too small, very hard to play with even for a small child. My 3.5 years old couldn't play with it either. She cries every time she nocks something down with her little hands.
