We bought this for my 2 year old as a Christmas present - 2012. It is light weight and she has no problems picking it up when it falls over. The tires are made of foam rubber so no need to worry about air pressure. She rode it a lot in the house and up and down the sidewalk. She turned 3 at the end of August and at the end of September we acquired a 12" huffy. She learned to ride it in two days - only two riding sessions. My wife and I were amazed along with all of the neighbors. She was three years and one month old riding a bike! Couldn't have done it with out this balance bike. The price is right compared to others - completely worth it!

This bike is very simple to put together which is great. The recommended age on the box is 2 1/2 - 5 yrs so I thought it would be perfect for my son who is 2y & 7mo old. Not so much...I usually love radio flyer products but this one is simply too big for my 2 1/2 yr old. The seat is at the lowest position and he can barely touch his toes to the ground and he is 34" tall. I think this product would be great for taller children or 3yrs & up. Returning this bike today and going to try a different brand.

Comments about Radio Flyer Glide & Go Balance Bike:

Purchased for my 3 year old grandson. He loves it and after a week, he can glide a bit.
A 6 year old friend also tried it, even though she was a bit too tall for it. Her bike still has training wheels. She was thrilled to realize that she could balance and glide, and now wants her training wheels removed from her bike at home.
Overall, very satisfied with the bike.
The only drawback is that the tires are not inflatable, and so might not be able to be passed down to younger siblings. BUT, I understand that inflatable tires are available on line.

I bought this for my sons 3rd birthday because he just couldn't get the concept of a regular bike- but wanted a bicycle so badly. It was easy to put together, and within minutes he got the idea of how to use it! Now he zooms around the neighborhood on his " motorcycle " as he calls it. He's able to balance no problem. I think he will be ready for a bike with pedals and possibly no training wheels soon!

We got this bike for my sons 3rd birthday. He was a bit too short for a bike, so we went with this option after doing some research. He absolutely loves it. It was simple to put together and a good quality bike as you would expect from this brand.

Comments about Radio Flyer Glide & Go Balance Bike:

I bought this for my one year old with the intention of letting my 4.5 year old borrow it.

The assembly was mostly ok; we had an issue with the guard on the bottom of the handlebars. There's no way to use a wrench to tighten the bolt and put in the handlebars as far as they are supposed to go, so we left off the guard.

My older son thought it was really fun and seems to be learning to balance, which was the idea. I'm hoping to remove training wheels on his bike because he learned to balance with this glider.

Quality; I'd say 2.5 stars. My 4.5 year old wasn't overly rough with it, but the handlebar covers (the ones under the hand) are already scuffed from our driveway. It seems like a child's toy with no kickstand would be more hardwearing.

Overall though it's a good value balance bike. It gets the job done for a reasonable price.

We purchased a regular 2 wheeler with training wheels.
The wobbly action put fear in my grandson. The glider
by Radio Flyer was perfect for him. He is getting his
confidence back and becoming a great bike rider. He will be on two wheels in no time. The video was a great selling tool.
                    Thank you.
