The design is not bad at all. My 7-Yr-Old son loves Skylander game, and wanted the set. I liked the idea of him making his own imaginary games instead of playing it on Wii all day. Mega Blocks still has a lot of work to do to catch up with Lego. It is not as easy nor smooth to put together. They do not stay put together as well as Lego either. It must be microscopic difference in blocks, but it does make a big difference when you try to put together and play with a set as large as this one.

This product is awesome but it takes a while to build. There are 3 books (left,middle,right) but the pieces are in separate bags for each book (all mixed).
I loved all the little details. Only wished it hadnt come with another Ignitor, since he's sold individually as well.

I am no longer only just a lego dad. This set really took me by surprise as i was unsure by some of the other comments bvut they couldnt' be more wrong. My son and I put this together with ease, the instruction book was very clear and we play together every night before bedtime with it. I would definatley recomend this set to parents with special needs as its sturdy and very calming for my son. I also didn't know that mega blocks works with lego...so happy gone are the days of buying expensive lego for nothing. these blocks are really good

Hours to put together just for it to fall apart. You cant even touch it let alone play with it. It should not be a mega block. It should be called vaccume cleaner pieces.The blocks are smaller than legos.

This is a very cool set. My son loves Skylanders and this set was fun to build and he loves playing with it. I wish they had other cool sets in the Skylanders line but everything else looks pretty lame.

My son is obsessed with Legos. He's also obsessed with Skylanders so Santa brought him this for Christmas. This may look like a Lego set but it is far from it. The blocks don't stick together very well and it often fell completely apart while we tried to build it. The absolute worst part is the instructions. They were so hard to follow we gave up and just tried to go by the picture. Giant waste of money!

This product was the one big gift my son wanted for Christmas. we had thought it would be bigger with it being mega blocks, but that was just our misunderstanding,it is a Lego size. The portal on top doesn't stay on well but we taped it and it's fine. Some other castle blocks were really difficult to put on, but we did get them to stay by changing the order of the directions a bit and placing those pieces first. There was a flame that doesn't seem to have been made right to fit as well. Even with the slight difficulties it has, we would defiantly buy it again and he's already played with it for hours.

We love this Skylander product!! It went together great and didn't fall apart after my son was playing with it :) His Legos usually do :(
