From Babies to Mommies - It's Yummy!

The moms got to work prepping the fruits by washing and cutting. First we tried strawberries and blueberries and added some water. It took a few tries to figure out how to properly lock the container into the Peppy Puree to get it working. Once I got it latched we blended away!

I think I will have to continue to play with the consistencies and how much water and/or juice to add as I found that the blueberries had a hard time getting broken down (there was a lot of chunks of skin). Otherwise the blender did a great job of pureeing the fruit.The only negative I found was that as the fruit spun around and became pureed I noticed some escaping from in between the bowl and lid. Some fruit got into the crevice of the locking mechanism of the actual machine and I am not quite sure how to clean it out properly since the machine cannot be immersed in water.

We set up the squeeze station and I pulled out the instruction because I thought I could just clip the squeeze pouch in and screw on the tubes but that was not the case. The top of the squeeze station needs to be remove, the pouches slipped in properly onto the track, then the top needs to be popped back into the station. I poured the fruit into the tubes, which got a bit messy because the bowl of the Peppy Puree does not have a spout. I used the press to push the fruit down into the pouches. It did a very good job of getting the fruit into the bag, except on occasion when a piece of the blueberry skin got caught in the way and a little extra pressure had to be applied. The fit between the press and the tube was so great that if you tried to pull the press back out before removing the tube some fruit was "vacuumed" back up into the tube. All the tubes had to be removed in order to remove the top of the station and get the pouches out and/or place new ones. This was a bit of a daunting task. It wold be great if they could design it in such a way as to make the pouches easily come in and out without having to actually disassemble the squeeze station.

The Steam and Smush is a great alternative to having to pull out pots and boil water in order to soften and cook certain fruits and veggies. It was quick and easy to use and got the job done. It worked great with carrots.

The reusable squeeze pouch is fantastic. It comes with a travel clip which makes me feel secure knowing that I won't lose it. I'm know to lose things, so I clip everything to the stroller, including the baby (no, I don't lose the baby, I keep her clipped in!). The spoons was a fantastic accessory to have as Baby Em's is teething and she loves to grip onto her spoons as she's eating. They are soft enough to be gentle enough for her to do so. The carrying case with its travel clip is again a perfect on the go necessity. The spoons will always be clean and never lost.

The tubes of the Squeeze Station store within the station itself by being screwed into the bottom plate. All the parts and accessories are dishwasher safe, except for the Peppy Puree, but it comes apart easily for a quick cleaning in the sink (the blade is sharp so be careful when handling).

The children had a great time trying out and guessing the different flavor combinations we put together (sneaking in some veggies while they weren't looking).

All in all I LOVE the product. With squeeze pouches being all the rage these days I am assured of what is being put in my daughters food.

I received this product to test from Infantino and was SO excited about it. It is really neat to be able to make my own pouches with it and do whatever flavor combinations I wanted. I have used mixes of applesauce, pureed peach, and pureed carrots. My issues with the system were that it was fairly wobbly--I almost knocked it over when trying to fill the squeeze pouches--and the liquids kept leaking out. I felt as if I was creating a lot of extra waste. Also, my carrots apparently weren't pureed enough, and peach skin was too much. I kept clogging the spout, which is very narrow.
That said, my daughter really loves to feed herself the pouches. I was worried we wouldn't use the frozen ones, but now that she is in daycare it works really well to send her with a frozen one that defrosts while she is there and keeps her other food cold. The reusable pouch is the best, in my opinion--it is slightly more difficult to squeeze and so my daughter is less apt to squeeze out tons at once. Anyway, I was very happy to get to try one of these out, but I might have been disappointed at paying full price.
I have received the Fresh Squeezed Collection from Infantino to facilitate my review, but my opinions are my own.

I've made several batches of food, and so far, we really like it! I have a VitaMix that is perfect for pureeing the fruits & veggies for my kids. I bought this because my 20 month old decided that he didn't want to eat veggies anymore. We were buying 10-12 of the pre-made pouches each week, and they cost between $1.00-$1.50. I thought this would be a great way to save money while feeding the kids a great healthy snack. I've made one batch with green beans, pears & cinnamon, and a second batch with sweet potatoes, apples & cinnamon... both were a big hit! My only complaint is the size of the openings for the tubes on top... it needs to be slightly bigger in order to pour the puree directly from the blender into the tubes before pushing it into the pouches. I would recommend this & wish had I discovered it sooner!

I used this to make my daughter pouches that she goes through like crazy. The thought was I could use organic veggies/fruits like I did with her babyfood and save money too.

The problem is that if you have even the tiniest chunk of food that didn't get pureed, it clogs up and you have to dump everything out and start over. I was very very excited about trying this product and just let down that it didn't work for us. We are going to try some reusable pouch options instead.

I had been looking for a way to make my own baby food and store it without feeding time becoming a huge hassle! Sometimes I even put jar foods into the pouches because they are so much easier to use and the pouches allow you to feed on the go without bringing along tons of unnecessary extras. I love the convenience of the store bought pouches but was frustrated that I couldn't package the food I made in something similar. I saw the Infantino Squeeze Station and thought,"Finally!" I really do love the whole system, including this piece, and the pouches. It really does work; it really does make it easy to know exactly what you are putting into your baby's tummy, and it really does cut down the cost of using pouches. My only complaint is this... the system is a little akward and it only comes with one pushing down tool, but even with that, what I have been doing is just using one tube and the push down tool as the whole product. I can still use the pouches; it is super portable, fast, clean and easy. The whole system is a bit much, but the pieces that I do use make the system worth every penney because you can't buy just those pieces by themselves. I have received the Fresh Squeezed Collection from Infantino to facilitate my review.

Love this product! I have 8 different flavors in my freezer right now. Food has to be super pureed and I wish you could reuse them, but this really is easy to use, clean up and kiddo loves them! No more worries about what is in her food, or if it is ALL fruit!

I LOVE this product! Easy to use, little mess. Tip, boil your food and then puree, some foods do not require boiling, but anything with a thick skin should be peeled or boiled (ie peaches, apples) I recommend boiling all veggies, strain if you think their might be texture (machine takes it but baby might not) like corn. Overall, I love this product and have recommended!

This is by far one of my favorite "baby" products on the market! I say "baby" because I have a 4 year old & 2 year old who love when Momma makes them yummy fresh fruits & veggies in these pouches. I originally purchased this product as soon as it was on the shelf in my BRU, ripped open the box & got started in on the fun. I've used it several times over the last few months. It is easy to operate, easy to clean, and perfect for my family! I have recommended it to many friends, and have even had a party at my house where a few of my friends & I made several different types of pouches for our little kidlets. The possibilities are endless as to what you can mix and add together in order to provide your child with the most fresh and nutritious food in town. And..don't get me started on the convenience of these little pouches! AMAZING! I am now pregnant with my third child, and I seriously can't wait till he is ready to eat solid foods so I can make all of his food fresh, portable, and convenient! Thanks to this filling station, the Infantino pouches are so easy to fill. I can prepare a meal for the baby, use the filling station to fill the pouch, throw the filled pouch and attachable spoon in the diaper bag, and off we go. My older daughters enjoy the product as well. We can prepare different fruit combinations, again use the filling station to fill the pouches, and freeze overnight. In the morning, they can place a frozen pouch in their lunch bags, and have a fruit smoothie by lunch time. As you can see, this product is for the entire family to enjoy. I have received the Fresh Squeezed Collection from Infantino to facilitate my review. We made so many pouches of food when I received this that all the kids will be eating great for a couple weeks before we have to make more. It was super easy, even the older kids were able to fill the pouches and were thrilled that they were involved in making their own food! We had 2 9 month olds, a 1 1/2 year old, a 2 year old, a 3 year old and a 5 year old at the house to test it.
