I actually (eep) got this item used. It has been amazing since day one. We got it when my son was about 9 month, just as he was learning to walk well. He loved (LOVED) it. Like I acknowledge my son is absolutely spoiled, but in a room full of all sorts of toys, this was one that he constantly played with. We got a toy box for him for his first birthday, and I made the mistake of putting this toy in it. I just pulled it out again the other day (monster is 14 months old now), and he ran right to it. You could tell he recognized, remembered and wanted it. Now he is a bit more coordinated and can move all the parts on his own so it has taken on a whole new level, and I believe this is going to rank up there with his monkey (pillow pal that he carries everywhere) as one of his all-time favorites. It works great and is clearly a very appealing and entertaining toy. Absolutely a great item to get for any little worker :)

The toy tool bench was fine, made cool sounds. But after receiving it and paying shipping I thought the overall cost was a little high. The shipping took too long and that might make me avoid buying online from ToysRUs again.

my son was introduced to this toy at a friends house. he loved it so i bought him one for christmas. it has a wide range of noises that arent super loud like some toys. its sturdy. it holds up to my son fighting over it with his friends. its one of the few toys that he plays with every day without getting tired of it. also a decent price for an excellent product.

This product has great potential but it falls short with the 'nail' activation. The saw, drill, and screwdriver parts of the toy work great. My little guy loves the hammer and when he hits the 'nails' nothing happens. I can take the hammer and hit either one of the 'nails' very hard and still nothing happens. You have to push the nails down for them to make noise and sounds, poor design. When you hammer something you do not put the head of the hammer on the nail and push down, which is what you have to do with this to get it to work. A slight change in design and this toy would be great. He knows he can push it to get it to make noise and light up, so he keeps trying to hit it harder and harder to make it work, honestly not really a good thing! You don't want your young child to get frustrated and learn to hit harder and harder. For the money there are better toys out there, avoid this one!

My daughter received this for her first birthday (yes my daughter). I put this on her wish list in hopes that she would get it and that she and her dad could do this together since he's very good at building this (he built her crib). She likes to hammer the nails and is figuring out the saw.

I bought this toy for my son Christmas 2011. He is now 2 and still plays with the toy often. All the sounds still work properly and I would definitely recommend this toy to a friend.

My son received this for a gift for his first birthday. It NEVER worked right! Only one light came on. No sound. I would have taken it back but I had already thrown out the box not realizing that it was suppose to do more than just sit there. My husband said it was suppose to make sound and light up, so we changed the batteries. When that didn't help, my husband took it apart to fix it. It was a mess! The wires didn't even match up right and some of the wires weren't even connected to anything!! Complete junk! Please don't waste your money.
