I ordered one of these from here about two years ago to track my first son, so when I had baby #2 I thought it would be cute to get a matching one. I'm not sure if the manufacturer changed, but they do not match exactly. The newer one is slightly more pastel in color for the monkeys and dark green leaves but the blue sky is actually a little darker- I like the new colors too although I did prefer the original darker monkeys and it won't match the older one. The one thing I didn't like is that the circle frames are now cream (they used to be a dark green, which I prefer- the new cream color doesn't match as nicely to the rest of the colors and sort of sticks out). So I couldn't actually put these next to each other like I had originally intended. However, it is still cute and good quality. I've seen other charts that are flimsy and not as cute, so you are getting what you pay for with painted wood. It is a two-piece wood slab attached by hinges that are already in place. It is not too heavy. It hangs from the wall by two hooks across the top (those triangular ones) that can be tricky so you'll need a level to install. And of course, it doesn't start at zero so you will also need to measure against the wall with a little patience. Because of the hinges connecting the two pieces, I put velcro on the bottom and back so it would hang more flatly against the wall and so little hands don't try to move it too much. Still cute, but not the 5 stars it used to be!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
