These characters are well built and sturdy. They work great as individual play toys or definitely well with the Wii game that we bought it for.

The name of the game is Skylander Giants. That doesn't mean that every character is a giant. Some of the characters need to be smaller to get into certain parts of the game. It's not hard to find a list of the types (Giants, reposed, etc.) of characters online. Overall, this game is fun and to get all the different experiences, you may need more characters. These characters are a great addition to your collection and they come with a neat little cannon to use in the game as well. Since you can put two characters and an add-on on your portal at the same time, this is a nice package designed to accomodate that.

Don't listen to the grandparent rating this- if the person did any research at all, he/she would know that Skylanders Giants is the name of the VIDEO GAME and the little guys are just as important as the giants. Research your product before you leave negative comments! You went and complained to the TRU management? Seriously? Trust me, they had a good laugh after you left. On a more positive note, my kids love this stuff- both of them can't wait to add all of the new characters, big and small, to their collection. Great games and clever marketing guaranteed to not disappoint!

The name on the product is Skylanders Giant but none of the figures are Giants but the smaller Skylanders. As a grandparent, my granson wanted the new Giants. The Service Representative said that in order to see that this product wasn't really a Giant you had to look at the demensions listed in the specifications. How would a grandparent buying the gift for her grandson know if 31/2 inches is the smaller version or the Giant. Sorry but I looked at the name Skylander Giants and expected the figures to be Skylander Giants or at least in the product narrative to say that these were the smaller version.Good thing my daughter called to say she just saw the same package at another store and saw that they weren't Giants. She and I are both very disappointed with the manufacturer and Toys R Us. Good thing we found out before Christmas and disappointed a 6 year old.
