i bought a box of luvs at babies r us actually when my first was still in size 1 diapers. we decided to buy size 2 cos it was a rather large box and we didnt want to waste any.
when i first opened the box i loved the smell of baby powder. :) they smell great. anyways, they fit baby very well and we didnt have any trouble with leaks or her breaking out or anything like that.
my only problem was that they fit more like her huggies in size 1 did. so we still ended up with a (small) stack of diapers that she out grew before we could use them all. so my suggestion would be to buy the size up from what your baby is in.
also i dont like that they dont have newborn size. i like luvs and i love the price. but i wish they had that size. tho i suppose if size 2 fit like a huggies 1 maybe a size 1 would fit like a newborn?

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

My son is 3 months old,He had leaks in Huggies,Pampers & store brands.
I tried Luvs & there great,no leakes and I have been using them for almost 2 months!.
Way cheaper than Huggies & Pampers & about the same price as store brands,Luvs is the only diapers I will buy,a person is crazy to pay more & still have leaks,or buy store brands & have leaks & a non scented diaper,Luvs has a nice light scent. Not to heavy. I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND LUVS DIAPERS!

I loved LUVs with my first son, 11 years ago. They never leaked and felt strong. I now have a new baby that is almost 3 months old. I bought these diapers because they were so wonderful with my first child. LUVs have CHANGED!I did notice these diapers feel cheap/thin. These are the worst diapers ever. The sides have torn easily and we have had multiple leaks. It is so frustrating to have a diaper leak on you, the baby, and bed repeatedly!!! I am stuck with 260 diapers :(

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
