I wanted a video monitor but was not able to spend $200 on one. When I saw this one on sale on Black Friday I snapped it up and was excited for the deal we had received. I mean, it's a Motorola, it's got to be good right? Wrong!

Well, I should have saved my money, this monitor is really not good! I wasn't expecting anything amazing, but I did want a product that worked and this one just does not deliver.

The only thing this monitor is beneficial for is seeing if my baby is actually moving and thus awake. I can't tell if her eyes are open or not or if she has lost her pacifier because the picture quality is very poor. The sound quality is also terrible and I can always hear her through the walls (even if I'm downstairs) before the monitor goes off. In the middle of the night, I'm in her room beginning to pick her up before the monitor triggers sound. Terrible.

The battery is also very poor and will last 4 hours max. Most nights, I put my daughter down and take the monitor downstairs with me. By the time I am ready to head up to bed, the monitor has died and is now beeping so very loudly. It also beeps loudly when you turn it on, so if you baby is a light sleeper, the beeps can very well wake them up.

I wish I would have waited until we could have afforded a nicer monitor, either that or I wish I would have spent the money I spent on this on something else. Don't make the same mistake we did, buy a different product.

There is not much good to say about this monitor,

Bad Battery life,
Image quality is very poor & grainy. The color is barely there, mostly grey tones. Kind of like a 60's picture
construction is cheep.
Belt clip is poorly designed,
Alert tones are very annoying, and wake the baby,
Major interference when monitor & camera are in the same room.
ETc, etc

There were alot of bad comments about this monitor so I wasnt sure at first how it'd work. Ive been using it for 3ish weeks now and it works fine :) This is my first video monitor and im pleased. The noise dosnt cut in and out and i can see my lil one on it fairly well. I think the only downsides were i didnt realize how small the screen was so I find it hard to tell if his eyes are open or closed and it has a bad battery life but for the price im happy!

I bought this on Black Friday. At the time there weren't any reviews of it online so I thought I was getting a great deal. I was at Babies R Us waiting for them to open just so I could purchase this monitor. Well, the joke's on me! It's the worst baby monitor I've ever used. That's saying a lot considering that even though I'm a first time Mom, I've worked as a nanny for 15 years! It has a horrible picture, the sound cuts out and it's not user friendly at all! The sound is so bad that there have been times that my son is hysterical before the sound comes back or someone hears him crying. What's the point of a video monitor if both the sound and picture stink? I bought it as an extra to have at my parents house but I'm returning it to get the Summer Infant one. I have a Summer one at home and it's been great, awesome picture quality, reception and sound clarity. Definitely will not buy a Motorola monitor again!

I bought this baby monitor for my first baby. she is not born yet. but I tried all features with my dh, and we liked it. it works just fine.

Bought into the Black Friday deal but used for only a day. The audio was in and out even when in the range. The video screen is somewhat smaller than I expected and the video moved in frames not continuous at times. Did not use enough to comment on battery life. Returned to the store the very next day. Only positive thing, the item was supposed to be back ordered but arrived in a week promptly. Dont recommend buying it even for half the price.

Had a summer infant for almost 2 years and it was starting to fade out on us so we bought this one. Hooked it up tested it and it worked then layed my daughter down for her nap and no volume. Had to take it back the next day. The store did not seemed surprised. Don't waste your money.going back to a summer infant.

Purchased on black Friday, and we love it. Right now we are using it with our 5 year old until the baby comes along. She loves being able to talk to us to say good night that extra time :)
