Bad Microphone but Good Music Quality

The microphone sounds bad. It's not loud enough & you have to get your mouth touching it, in order for you to hear yourself. You can connect a music player to it, but since I don't have one, I connected my pc to it and the music quality is good. The music plays pretty loud & decent. Maybe buying another microphone & connecting it to the amp will solve the problem. I bought it for me and for my 2 yr old, & he loves it. I just think it's ok. This is the first day of use, so that's all I can tell you for now.
