      This doll is completley useless! I bought the fist one, didnt work at all. She DID NOT sing when her hair was brushed. Returned it and got another, That one worked for about 2 minutes, once again returned it and got a 3rd one! I did not want to waste my time with another one, but my daughter REALLY wanted one that worked. The 3rd daoll DID NOT WORK EITHER! I would NOT recommend this cheap product to anyone!

          We got this for our daughter for Christmas. No matter what we do, changing batteries, etc., this doll doesn't work. 1 in every 8-10 tries gets us a bit of sound but not without a ridiculous amount of work. Googled it and apparently this is an issue with every one of them. We will be returning it. Extremely disappointed with the continued poor quality of the store brand items!!!!! Come on, Toys R Us! Really?!

            My daughter wanted a Hairmonies doll for Christmas so bad. She sat on Santa's lap and asked for
            1. Christmas Magic so she could go up her own chimney
            2. For every kid in the world to get what they ask for at Christmas so everyone can be happy
            3. A Hairmonies doll.

            Well, It's Christmas Eve and I am sitting here to write this review because I am so disappointed and sad for her. She got her Hairmonies doll tonight from Grandma, in fact, Grandma bought her TWO so they could sing together. We got it out of the box and it barely worked. We brushed and brushed and occasionally she would sing or a few notes or the instruments would play. No matter how I tried brushing her hair I couldn't manage to get a response 90% of the time! We replaced the batteries and it didn't operate any better.

            I just feel horrible for my daughter!! She was so excited for this gift and IT DIDN'T WORK! Immediately upon realizing my daughter's doll didn't work I looked up other user reviews and noticed many other complaints of the same problem. So it's obviously not just one bum doll. The Hairmonies doll operated so horribly that we put it right back in the box to return along with the other one. We spent quite awhile trying to explain what was wrong and try to make her okay with taking it back to choose something else. Thank goodness my daughter is so easy to explain things to but I AM FURIOUS this toy could easily ruin a child's Christmas wishes!

            Additionally... I noticed a couple five star reviews on FAO's website. Both are posted from supposed Hairmonies lovers who conveniently live pretty darn close to Toys R' Us corporate headquarters in Wayne NJ (Owners of FAO). I bet they are employees beefing up the star rating because nobody could be this happy buying a toy that doesn't work. Also why do these toys show 5 gold stars on the Toys R' Us website but when you get into the item details you notice the stars have disappeared? Toys R' Us is nothing but a rip off full of shady practices! Not only in this instance but did you ever try and use a coupon and find out you fell into a loophole at the register or at checkout and can't use it? That's no accident. Toys R' Us are pros at scamming parents! Heck I bet this review will disappear.

            Sorry for being this grumpy but I'm pretty upset my daughter's heart could have been broken on Christmas Eve.
