Graco's Glider LX Swing is a unique gliding swing that soothes with the same gentle motion you use when cuddling and comforting baby in your nursery glider. For your convenience this innovative gliding swing has a compact frame that uses 40% less space than other leading swings, and for flexibility you have the option to plug-in or use batteries. A plush, roomy seat with removable infant supports and vibration will keep baby cozy, while music will keep baby entertained. With the Graco Glider LX, you have all the features you want in a swing, but with the gliding motion baby loves!

The first Graco Infant Swing was created in 1953. Graco Metal Products originally manufactured car parts, but when one of the founders left the company to pursue other interests, the remaining partner, Robert Cone, decided he wanted to try and manufacture something new, he just didn't know what.

That's when David Saint, an engineer, presented Cone with a revolutionary new idea, a wind-up infant swing. Saint, a father of 9 children, was inspired by a friend's wife who soothed her tired baby by swinging in a backyard glider swing.

The Graco Swyngomatic went on to sell millions, and Graco was official out of the car parts business and into the baby product business. Today, Graco continues to design and develop innovative childcare and baby products including the imonitor Digital Baby Monitor and the compact folding Contempo Highchair. Graco Baby Swings are still one of Graco's top-selling products.

      Just bought this swing and put it together. It glides very slowly and has the same speed no matter which speed it is set on. The motor is also very noisy which I hate. I will definitely be returning this item:(

      I have the Graco Glider Elite/Brompton and I love it. My mom wanted a swing too since she keeps the baby during the day - so we got the Glider LX/Happy Hedgehog for her. We didn't see the need for the removable bouncer.

      First one, the motor was really weak. Compared to the Elite we already had, it was at speed 0.5, no matter which number you pushed. Went and exchanged it - and the second one is the same way. Returned and just getting another Elite.

      Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

      I purchased this swing for my then two week old son. I was convinced that it was going to be a waste of money. Well, surprise, it was worth every penny. My son loves this swing! He even sleeps in it at night. It was pretty simple to put together, I did it by myself right after I purchased it. I like that it can either be plugged in, or use batteries. The only requirement for batteries is the vibration feature.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
