it truly matched my expetations and then some. once we got the rug smoothed out, the trains could do anything and we let our 3 year old great grandson find thomas's whistle on his own, and when he did, it can get very loud..so i wish thomas was whistle less??other than that it will be played on for years and the great quality of the playmatt will last that long too...

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
