The Chi Waterfall

By TitaniumSkylor2015

Comments about LEGO Legends of Chima CHI Waterfall (70102):

The Chi Waterfall is a simple little set that works very well. All you have to do is hit the center of the structure and you'll get the chi. One of the main reasons I liked the set so much was because of its simplicity and because it was an easy target for people just starting to learn how to use speedorz. The speedor in this set belongs to Leonidas and takes the same neon orange color as this warrior's mane. The boost for this one is also appropriate since it's two rocket-like contraptions. This set is great! The speedor is a bold color and the chi waterfall is a simple structure that is fairly easy for beginners but doesn't get old for experts. I would recommend this set!

Say kaboom and then you get Chi!!!!

Comments about LEGO Legends of Chima CHI Waterfall (70102):

This is a truly wonderful new theme for young builders! Legends of Chima is really awesome idea for younger children and I am sure it will be a very promising theme! The characters are supreme, I think the best that LEGO has to offer at the moment, and the vehicles are so cool! I love the animal heads! Character - Leonidas is a cool figure and, though my least favorite lion, he is amazingly detailed! He has a bright orange mane and a goofy grin on his face. The Lego Company went into a lot of detail printing a muscular stomach, a blue lion sash, and other decorative embellishments. If he had a Chi harness he would be improved, but since it doesn’t I won’t say any more. My opinion is don’t get this set for the lion... get this set for the set! Speedor - Defendor IV is one of the prime features of the set (and also racks up the price!), and is really a unique, fun build. Also, the all-sided ripcord is such a relief! I also enjoy how I can slam it (with the figure who surprisingly doesn't fall off!) into anything and nothing breaks! I like the lion design, but it might have been better to stay away from bright orange! I like a more soft, duller sunset orange--- which happens to be my favorite color! Chi Challenge - The whole point of the game is to hit the red hammer in between the “Chi waterfall and the random, mossy rock. If successful, an Orb of Chi will be thrown from a dish on top of the hammer and the first to catch it wins. This, so far, is my favorite Legends of Chima because you don’t have to focus on how hard it is and just have fun! This is especially good for younger children. My four-year-old bro can’t go through the Ring of Fire and my nine-year-old bro can’t knock down many of the boulders. But we can all do this! The only con is that when you hit the hammer the whole set often skids or moves and make it challenging to hit anything at all! This can be fixed by having one person hold both sides of the set. Cards - The cards are well designed and titled 'Leonidas', 'Defendor IV', 'Chi Jabaka', 'Katar', and 'Hypazoom.' These have to do with the different features in the game. They have terrible Strength (which is the purple symbol that appears to be a lion’s paw), and awesome Courage (the green symbol that appears to be a roaring lion/bear). The other two categories are pretty much average. Now, to the detail on the cards. Except for the goofy, slightly odd look on Leonidas’ face on all the cards, these are some of the best cards I’ve yet seen! The art looks really cool and captures the heart of this set perfectly! Power Bonus and Weapons - The power bonus is good for this set because it is wide enough to knock down all the targets when positioned right. It consists of two rockets that can be moved from side to side (unlike Worriz’) and have translucent orange studs in the middle. These nicely balance the Speedor for many obstacles! Now to the weapons. Chi Jabaka is a golden Sensei Wu staff with a translucent blue cylinder attached to a golden lightsaber handle. On the other end is a light stone grey spike. This looks so cool when raised above his head when riding upon Defendor IV. The “Katar are twin black katanas, as those that come with Kai ZX. They’re pretty cool, but nothing new! So, this so far has been the most fun Legends of Chima set yet! You should totally get it if you are trying to start a Legends of Chima collection or just want a fun, new LEGO set! Even if they seem cartoony or for younger children I totally recommend this new line (listen, I’m a teen too and thought these looked childish!), especially if you have younger children, friends, or siblings- as is my case!
