How I recieved the doll:

My husband found her at the city dump, naked and flithy, her hair was a frizzed out tangled mess.
He knew I loved Barbie Dolls so he rescued her and gave her to me.
I was so surprised, I never knew they made a My Size Barbie. I fell in love with her instantly
and I became determined to restore her.

Her body cleaned up easily, her hair was another
matter. Using the internet, I was able to find
the proper info to restore her hair!

I sewed her a pair of jean hip-huggers with matching baby doll top and a pair of slip ons.

The Barbie I have is at least 5 years old.

The condition she was in when I got her clearly
showed that some little girl worked very hard
to destroy her.
This Barbie was made to take the abuse.

She must be the least known of all the Barbie Dolls and this makes for a great conversation piece.

Something to think about:

I was little when Barbie Dolls first came out.
In those days Barbies had stiff arms and legs,
which made dressing and undressing to difficult
a task for a little girl to do without grown up
help.
My Size Barbie has the face and hair of a modern
Barbie Doll with an enlarged version of the very first straight legged, stiff armed Barbie Doll body.
A body that can only be appreciated by someone over 50 years old.
So if you were amoung the first to have been introduced to the orginal Barbie Doll, this doll
is for you.

The task of dressing and undressing a doll this big without the added features of bendable knees
and elbows would make the task impossible for any
little girl who would end up pestering a grown up
to do the task for her, which defeats the whole
purpose of having the toy in the first place.

I think my barbies condition is because the child had no willing grown up to help her dress the doll so after great frustration the child gave up trying to dress the doll and left the doll naked, the childs attention became focused on the dolls hair which quickly became a matted ball of frizz and unbrushable.
The doll was thrown outside and layed in the dirt until she was added to a pile of rubbish and brought to the dump.

I wouldn't concider this doll as a toy for a
little girl under 9 years of age unless there
is a grown up willing to participate with the child.

What's cool about My Size Barbie is that she is
able to stand on her own. This feature is a
dream come true for us old skoolers, and that is
what makes her so special.

Best use:

For creative children (and adults) interested in creating fashion and working with hair can use this doll like a model.

Pros:

A giant exact replica to the normal size Barbie.
Quality as good as any Barbie.
Well made joints
Dolls wig is well crafted.
Great conversation piece.
A must have for any Barbie Doll collector.

Cons:

Stiff arms and legs limits how the doll is
played with and stored.
Child needs assistance dressing and undressing the doll.
Child needs instruction on brushing and careing
for the dolls hair.
Stiff hard plastic could cause injury.

I bought this item for my daughter for christmas, and shes loved it. she plays and talks with the barbie all the time. she even trys to put the barbie on some of her toddler clothing.

I purchased two of "My Size Barbies" as Christmas presents for my granddaughters ages 6 & 8. Just to see their facial expressions and feel their heartfelt,long-held embraces with "thank you, Ma " (grandma)on Christmas day was priceless! These items arrived undamaged and on time. They are of great quality,at a great price and of a great size, 3 ft.(Smile) I highly encouraged anyone that wish to purchase a gift to bring absolute joy into a little girl's life, this is the item!

I ordered this as a free gift option for spending x amount on Barbie products. My 7 year old daughter loves it. She is as tall as my 4 year old grandson. My dog barks at her because she thinks she is a real person.

My daughter received this on Christmas, and it broke off a limb in three days. Plastic is very cheap. The doll does not even stand well. Very disappointed, not worth the money at all!

Truly exceeded my expectations. I thought 'My Size" would be about an 18" doll the size of the American Dolls. To my surprise. It was truly "My Size". My daughter is 6 and very tall for her age. This barbie stands to her shoulders. She loves it and I was very pleased!

The doll was just as advertised and was delivered on time. The only disapointment was that the dolls hair is stringy and easily tangled. Makes the doll look scruffy almost right after being taken out of the box. We were able to comb and fix the dolls hair some what but I would of preffered not to.

I was so excited to order this product for my daughter online so she could open it christmas morning what a major dissapointment when i opened the box. The babries legs were cracked because the plastic was so thin. I CAlled to get it replaced and they told me i had to return it to the store which the store does not have the product in yet. So over all the product was not worth the money.
