Safety 1st Alpha Omega Elite 65 Convertible Car Seat - Twilight

The Alpha Omega Elite Convertible Car Seat by Safety 1st is an extended-use three car seats in one with superior comfort and convenience features to keep your growing child safer while riding in the car, from a baby headed to day care to an older child going to school. It starts as a rear-facing infant car seat with a removable infant support that keeps babies snugly positioned. It also allows for longer use in the recommended rear-facing position: up to 40 pounds. Turn the seat around to use it as a forward-facing, harnessed car seat with an extended harness range of 65 pounds. Later, when your child is ready, the seat transitions into a belt-positioning booster for use up to 100 pounds. Through all stages the moveable armrests make it easier to get in and out of the seat, and the padded QuickFit headrest adjusts the harness in one easy step. With QuickFit, there's never a need to re-thread the harness so the headrest can be adjusted easily without uninstalling the seat from the car. Through multiple stages and ages, the Alpha Omega Elite is a three-in-one seat that keeps your little one safer during the ride.

Starting as a rear-facing infant seat, it transitions to a forward-facing, harnessed booster that can be used all the way to 65 pounds. Later, once your child is ready for the vehicle seat belts, it can be used in belt-positioning booster mode up to 100 pounds.

Super comfy! Safe. Colorful. My daughter loves it.

I got it because it was soft like the Chicco one, but half the price. Love the purple (I hate pink) Weight limit is 100 lbs. She will be in this thing for a loooong time.

So far, I don't have anything bad to say about this carseat. It's heavy, but they all are!

We bought this because we liked the feel of the material, the good reviews, and that it is supposed to have adjustable recline while baby is in it.

Well the first issue is that even in the lowest recline setting, it still doesn't really recline all that much. We have this seat in the center seat, where it is flat, and we still have to put towels under it. Even with the towels, my daughters little head flops forward when she falls asleep. Which leads to the second issue.

We bought a Kia Forte hatchback because it had a roomier back seat than other sedans. Well this thing barely fits in the back, even in the center seat. Don't think you will be able to recline your front seats at all with this thing in the back. Even when we tried to put it behind the front passenger seat, we had to push the seat all the way forward and keep it straight for this to recline to the correct "level with ground" line. Keeping baby safe means you get to eat the dashboard. Going behind the driver seat is just not even an option if you are at all tall. Just for giggles, we also tried to put this thing in my sisters Toyota Camry, it was the same tight fit behind the passenger seat, but did seem a little better in the center seat, but then again my sister is 5 foot tall and has the driver seat all the way up. Don't even ask how it fit in my husbands 2 door Honda Civic, it was that bad.

The recline lever? Don't think you will be able to recline on the go, if you have a baby like mine who wants to sit up more while she is awake. Once this is in, it is near impossible to adjust the recline. You have to take off the seatbelt, move the front seats all the way forward, turn the car seat to the side and then recline, then put it all back.

Very disappointed with this seat, especially after the pretty good reviews other people gave it. My 6ft2 husband said they must have all been short people with big cars. This will be getting exchanged.

I love this car seat. It can be used as rear facing, front facing, and a booster seat to 100 pounds. It has a couple holder and lots of cushion. It has side impact protection and fits snugly into my car. I really feel like my daughter is safe.

Now with this one she truly loves it. Never fights me, and it gives me the peace of mind knowing she is safe. It has style, comfort and so easy to adjust. It simple does not get any better than this. Thank you so much for providing such a great car seat. One very happy mama...and baby girl too!!!

I bought this carseat based on the price point and reviews. Most of the reviews read well. The carseat itself seems sturdy and is still very pretty. My only issue was that this carseat was RIDICULOUSLY DIFFICULT to install! I found the instructions a bit difficult to understand and the overall process just sucked. I ended up taking it to my local fore station for them to inspect. As suspected, I did have it in wrong. Now that it's fixed, I'm very happy with it. So my only advice would be to have it inspected. Too many kids are hurt in car accidents because their carseats weren't properly installed.

Comments about S1 by Safety 1st Safety 1st Alpha Elite 65 Convertible Car Seat - Twilight:

I really like the car seat. The fabric design is better than other car seats. If my son has to sit in a car seat, it shouldn't be just one plain color. He likes to look at things. This car seat also doesn't have those blinder side cushions like other car seats, so he can see out the sides.

I have a small car, a 4 door -toyota echo, so the car seat is a bit big for it. But the car seat does fit into it. Any passengers will not be able to move the seat back or recline. If you are 5 ft 8 inches and shorter, you'll be okay. If you are 5 ft 8 inches then you will have about two inches of knee room in the front passenger seat. But it'll help with having good posture as your passenger will have to sit up straight.

The only thing I'd say that is difficult is the 5 point seatbelt strap to tighten my son into the chair. It could be operator error (me), but One side will be tight and the other side will be loose. You have to adjust the bottom part where the metal prongs go into the snap part and equal it out and then tighten the top strap. I just have to play with it to get it tightened correctly.

I went to my local fire department to have the seat installed properly. It didn't seem to tighten when I used the latches. The firemen/lady showed me how to put my knee into the seat to tighten the straps for the latches.
I wish it had the level thingy that my baby/infant seat had so I could see that the bubble was even and that the seat was level in the car base.

The adjustable head part is easy to figure out and it reclines nicely into three positions. I wouldn't use a convertible car seat for a baby under 6 months old, but that is my choice. I preferred from birth to 6 months to buy the seat/stroller combo so he could stay in the seat and i could put the seat in the stroller and go.

Just purchased this seat over the weekend as our 15 month old daughter had been crying non-stop whenever we placed her in the infant carrier. Was looking at this one and one other one by another company, both had great reviews, however, chose this one as the price was much better than the other one I was comparing to. I found it easy to install and adjust. First time we put our daughter in it, we were surprised as we heard no crying. Really didn't think just changing a seat would make such a difference but it did. Also love the color as just about everything for girls seems to be pink, glad it wasn't.

Have ordered online from Toy R Us many times. The item came in a cardboard box that was taped, retaped and totally damaged.Brought the item back and the sales associate said to me, you should have declined delivery, I wasn't home at the time of delivery. The associate was good enough to locate the same item in the store, and that box was just as damaged! Didn't purchase it since I was giving it as a shower gift.

either the picture colors on my computer are of or they need a better picture. i purchased this seat online for my son thinking it was grey with a fun pattern. no, the trim is PURPLE. i dont have a problem with purple, its just not what i thought it was. it would be nice if they added in the item description what color it was.

not a big deal, going to return it for a different color/style, though that is kind of a pain. i already have 2 of these seats for my 2 and 3 year old and we love them. i bought them because they will last probably until my children are out of carseats considering it goes to a booster. they are very comfy and incredibly easy to use. we have adjusted the straps and the recline before right before getting in the car - no rethreading needed! that is one of the reasons these were my pick.

a good quality seat for a good price. its not flimsy or cheap and the covers come off pretty easy to wash once you figure it out.

only downside... there are ALOT of nooks and crannies for thinks to get spilled in. and it is very wide.
