We bought this stroller along with the car seat and carrier that matches about 9 months ago for our son. The stroller is pretty user-friendly for us first-time parents. I also liked the neutral colors as we intended to use this for multiple kids someday. The stroller linked easily with the carrier when our son was an infant, and he loved transitioning to the upright seat as he got bigger. The cup holder and compartment next to the handles has been nice, as well as having the adjustable handle bar for the different comfort levels of all who walk him. However, our son must be broad-shouldered like me because he had a bit of a tough time these last couples weeks fitting comfortably in the upright seat, which is supposed to be big enough to accomadate toddlers. He keeps squishing against the side panels. I am thinking about putting a blanket behind him to help hold him more forward so that he isn't sunken into the seat as much. Also it appears as if one of the waist straps to buckle him in with is shorter than the other side, so the harness fits him shifted to one side. Could be a manufacturing fluke, which we didn't notice until he started getting big enough to need to stretch out the straps. It isn't super lightweight, but it does ride very smoothly. However, if you want to use one hand to manuver this, you are going to need some muscle once the weight of your child is in it. Overall, we liked it pretty well and have dealt with the issues. We are now expecting our second child, and plan to trade this single model in for the double model version of this stroller so we can walk both kids at once this spring.

My husband purchased this stroller for me. Six years ago I had a Peg-Perego that I gave away because we did not anticipate having another child. I wish I still had that stroller. It folded easily, very compactly, and was lightweight. Babies R Us does not seem to carry that brand anymore or I would've purchased it again. He went with Chicco because it was a nice looking stroller and claimed to be lightweight-it is actually pretty heavy and takes up a lot of space when folded up. Folding it is kind of awkward too, there's a handle that you pull on that I feel like is going to break every time I fold it up.

Comments about Chicco Cortina Stroller - Elm:

We love this stroller and overall I would probably recommend it, however there are quite a few minor annoyances that we noticed since we've been using it for 9 months now. The parent cup holder is small (only big enough for a standard size water bottle - so no soda bottles with wide bottoms or using your own cups from home). The sunshade was small - but to be fair we only noticed this after a recent trip to the zoo in which we were outside all day. We quickly noticed other strollers with much larger sunshades and were pretty envious since we were rigging ours with a nursing cover to provide more shade for our fair skinned, sleeping baby. Speaking of sleeping, the seat back reclines flat which is wonderful for naps! But for some reason it doesn't sit straight up (imagine the teenagers you see driving with their seats laid back) and just looks uncomfortable to our daughter. We actually started loosening the shoulder harness and she just sits up now holding onto the tray. I notice the listing advertises the basket as accessible with the infant seat clipped in, but this simply isn't true. We just invested in a Mommy-Hook to hang the diaper bag on the handle until she outgrew her car seat. The "see through" window on the sunshade is pretty much useless since you can barely see through it but that's not really been a big deal. This stroller is also big and bulky when folded but I think that comes with the territory on these type strollers. I have a Honda Pilot and have to keep the third row folded down to haul this. I can't imagine this fitting easily in anything but an SUV. We're actually planning to fly cross country next month and bought a Combi stroller for the trip at a yard sale since it folds up so much smaller. All that said, the suspension on this stroller is wonderful and overall it's really served it purpose well for us.

I like that this stroller has multiple positions, my little man can sit up or lay down in it. It's sturdy and perfect for the somewhat rough walking paths I use. Also it was great for camping. Overall I really like this stroller. It's lightweight for what it does, any lighter and it wouldn't be suitable for me.

I love this stroller it folds up with one hand no problem and unfolds the same way. it stands on its own when folded which is so handy! other strollers you have to lay down then they are all dirty and scratched. i have the matching car seat and it clicks right in. i also like the fact that you can move the visor down depending on the sun. the only problem i have with strollers is the fact that they don't have two cup holders or at least a bigger compartment for things.
