We love this stroller and overall I would probably recommend it, however there are quite a few minor annoyances that we noticed since we've been using it for 9 months now. The parent cup holder is small (only big enough for a standard size water bottle - so no soda bottles with wide bottoms or using your own cups from home). The sunshade was small - but to be fair we only noticed this after a recent trip to the zoo in which we were outside all day. We quickly noticed other strollers with much larger sunshades and were pretty envious since we were rigging ours with a nursing cover to provide more shade for our fair skinned, sleeping baby. Speaking of sleeping, the seat back reclines flat which is wonderful for naps! But for some reason it doesn't sit straight up (imagine the teenagers you see driving with their seats laid back) and just looks uncomfortable to our daughter. We actually started loosening the shoulder harness and she just sits up now holding onto the tray. I notice the listing advertises the basket as accessible with the infant seat clipped in, but this simply isn't true. We just invested in a Mommy-Hook to hang the diaper bag on the handle until she outgrew her car seat. The "see through" window on the sunshade is pretty much useless since you can barely see through it but that's not really been a big deal. This stroller is also big and bulky when folded but I think that comes with the territory on these type strollers. I have a Honda Pilot and have to keep the third row folded down to haul this. I can't imagine this fitting easily in anything but an SUV. We're actually planning to fly cross country next month and bought a Combi stroller for the trip at a yard sale since it folds up so much smaller. All that said, the suspension on this stroller is wonderful and overall it's really served it purpose well for us.

My husband purchased this stroller for me. Six years ago I had a Peg-Perego that I gave away because we did not anticipate having another child. I wish I still had that stroller. It folded easily, very compactly, and was lightweight. Babies R Us does not seem to carry that brand anymore or I would've purchased it again. He went with Chicco because it was a nice looking stroller and claimed to be lightweight-it is actually pretty heavy and takes up a lot of space when folded up. Folding it is kind of awkward too, there's a handle that you pull on that I feel like is going to break every time I fold it up.

Wonderful ride!

Comments about Chicco Cortina Stroller - Elm:

We received the Cortina travel system as a gift for our first son. It took three years and over 1,500 miles put on it before the bit the dust. In the past three years I put anywhere between 1 to 5 miles a day on it, not including use on errands and in the stores. It took to about 1,000 miles before the legs wheels had to replaced because they would no longer stay on. This past December, while on a family walk, the handle bar snapped off. If it wasn't for the fact that the canopy has also seen better days and it's showing signs of wear and tear, we would keep going with it. It's been a great asset to our family! Since the car seat still has a year left before the expiration date, and we're now pregnant with our second child, we plan on buying another Cortina stroller. Through ice, mud, snow, and six inches of rain....well, this thing goes everywhere!

Comments about Chicco Cortina Stroller - Elm:

My family has been using this stroller since my daughter was born almost 5 years ago. It is easily folded for storage or for taking on trips. I also use this stroller for recreational jogging. I love the cup holders for both my daughter and I, as well as the small storage compartment at the top where I can keep my keys and cell phone. The compartment on the underside of the stroller is large enough to fit the cube cooler my family typically takes for day trips to the zoo. The brakes are easy to use with no hands by pushing down or pulling up with your foot. Overall, I have loved this stroller and the features it provides. Even at almost 5 years old and 40 lbs, my daughter enjoys riding in it.

Comments about Chicco Cortina Stroller - Elm:

This stroller was awesome when my daughter was a newborn, opens up quickly and easily and the carseat just snapped right in. The ride is smooth and she fits in it nicely as a toddler. I also love the handlebar- it has rubber spots where your hangs go and they are very comfortable. This seat reclines really well, but the basket is barely accessible with the seat all the way reclined. The fabric does come off to be washed but it is a pain to get off and on. I also like the face that it has a tray for the baby too. We went to the zoo the other day and it was hot so I placed two of the bottle spray fans in the upholders and they worked perfectly!! I think it could use better ventilation throughout the seat and canopy though. The brakes are linked together but are hard to use if your wearing flip-flops. The handlebar adjusts and just feels comfortable for average height people, also little siblings who like to push :) Overall a really nice stroller. I read about people not icing the cup holder, I think its just fine. Fits a normal sized cup (my large tervis tumbler) and f I need room for a second drink i just sit it inside the close able compartment on top~My complaints are the fact that the wheels are starting to squeak, the foam on the handle is ripping apart and it is beginning to get hard to open and close, and the recline sometimes gets stuck in separate positions and the back is lopsided and i have to push one side up.

Light Weight, Not Good for Over 20 lbs

    By Jenn

    from Undisclosed

Comments about Chicco Cortina Stroller - Elm:

I purchased this product because based on the display I saw, it was light weight, folded quite easily and moved well.  But after months of use (under 1 year), the snaps that hold the padding in place began to unsnap, some no longer snapping back in at all.  My son is now about 25-26 lbs and the snaps come undone while he is sitting in stroller.  It looks horrible.  Also, as he began crawling, walking, he wanted to sit up more and look around more and the sit back doesn't sit all the way upright, so baby is always on a slant when sitting, so unless he pulls himself up, he is always slouching, which can't be good for his posture.  And I think after a while he doesn't like sitting in the position, so he gets cranky in the stroller after about 30 minutes.  I can easily say that each child is different and that this one just doesn't like the stroller, but I can also say that between three kids and three different model strollers, this is the first time I've had a problem with my child not wanting to sit in the stroller.......

It was great... When he was small

Comments about Chicco Cortina Stroller - Elm:

This stroller is fashionable and great to use when our son was just a baby. He is 10 months and 25 lbs and cannot fit into the stroller anymore because you cannot adjust the lap belt. There is a warning label on the strap that prevents you from adjusting one side. It's extremely frustrating.
