      I was hesitant to buy it but it does work. You do need to shake it for about 6 minutes rather than the three it suggests. The ice cream was really good, my son loved he could add his own topping before shaking it. After trying it we bought another one to give as a gift.Definitely worth the ten bucks.

      It works if you have an adult really shake the thing for 6-7 minutes with a stir after about 3 minutes to get the frozen cream off the sides. The consistency of the finished product is like if you leave a bowl of ice cream out for a few minutes at room temperature. It's a little goopy, but not runny. The instructions call it soft serve, which is pretty spot on. Fit and finish is good and it's really been a lot fun (with a little elbow grease).

      I have made ice cream with soup cans before so I really thought this product could work. The product doesn't stay closed well so it is messy, but more importantly it doesn't make ice cream well. My poor little kiddo shook this thing for 10 minutes, and still the cream was not a good consistency.
