The Superyard Gray Door Extension by North States allows you to increase the Superyard Classic from a 6-panel to an 8-panel play yard with an easy access door. The extra-wide 22 inch door opens easily with one hand. Just slide the latch back, lift the door up and out to open. Simply reverse this motion to close. Want to add extra security? Just move the center tab on the door to the locked position - it's that easy. Sold separately from the Superyard, the additional two-panels increase the size of the Superyard from 18.5 square feet to 34.4 square feet, that's almost 7 feet across! Made in the U.S.A.

After waiting a week or so for this to be re-stocked on the website I ordered it immediately. It came sooner than expected, which was great, but the product itself is dissapointing.
It works as it is supposed to, but it is just not a high quality product. The gate latch doesn't seem to like to work, and when I'm chasing my one year old around I don't want to spend an extra five seconds (it seems silly typing that five seconds is a major inconvenience...but it is!!) to make sure the gate actually shuts.
I don't even open the gate anymore, it's not worth the effort to me. It's a little lower than the rest of the fence so I just step over it but now I don't stub my toes like I did before we got this product. It makes it easier for my dogs to be invited to play with my son, but that's about it. And guests feel less awkward having a gate to walk through.
If there were a different gate product, I would try that first. I was unable to find a different gate for the "superyard".

With crawling twins, we needed a spacious area to keep our babies safe, and the super yard was just the ticket, but the lack of a door made it a real challenge to use at times. Thank heaven they finally made this door extension available...I ordered it as soon as I saw it on the BRU website. It arrived in just 2 days, and I had it in place within minutes of it arriving...very easy to install. It's so easy to open & close that my hubby and I often follow our babies right in and play in the yard with them. The one problem we've had is that the frame on the latch side of the door seems to be slightly warped...a common issue with molded plastic items of this nature. We sometimes have to push the bottom of the door in with our foot to make it drop completely into the bottom channel so we can latch the door. Overall, we are extremely pleased with this item, though, after our first 3 weeks of use.
