I would buy again

Comments about Bowen Hill Edu Science Know How? Gyroscope:

Really cool toy. Not for everyday play. But my kids bring it out all the time. It's hard to use withy he string. But the ripcord works perfect. Even my 4 year old can wind it up. It's a good price and keeps them entertained and will have them asking questions.

Comments about Bowen Hill Edu Science Know How? Gyroscope:

I have kiddos from 7 years to 10 years old and not one of the 3 wanted anything to do with this...boring toy. Might hold the interest for more than 5 minutes of the average 3-4 year old.

Comments about Bowen Hill Edu Science Know How? Gyroscope:

My 8 year-old got this for Christmas. It looks really cool. It has a rip cord that makes spinning the gyroscope easy for kids. But it spins very poorly. A gyroscope should be well balanced and this one is not. I was excited to show her all the cool.thing a gyroscope could do, but this one was very disappointing. I would not buy this.

Comments about Bowen Hill Edu Science Know How? Gyroscope:

I had several of these while growing up and enjoyed them. I thought I would share the experience with my grandchildren. I like the zip puller better than the string but it's nice to have the option. The Spin did not last as long as I remembered. One of the spin plates fell off the first day and had to glue it back on. Will not buy anymore, will look for a better one and willing to pay more to do it.

      • Budding Scientists With N

Comments about Bowen Hill Edu Science Know How? Gyroscope:

The gyro isn't extremely smooth, and the instructions are a little lacking of you are giving it as a gift to a new budding scientist. But as a first time intro to gyros before spending big bucks on a quality unit, it wasn't bad . the ring housing tended to fall off and it makes a squeaking noise like it needs wd40 but I'd get another one for another child...

Comments about Bowen Hill Edu Science Know How? Gyroscope:

The gyroscope was unbalanced, so I am returning it. You can't do much with a gyroscope that cant stay up for longer than two seconds before wobbling over.
