Very unhappy with travel system

By Nathan Stephanie Arnold

from Undisclosed

Comments about Chicco Cortina Travel System Stroller - Element:

We bought our travel system early as we didn't have a solid due date for our son. We bought it in February 2014 and he was born in April 2014. We love the car seat but hate the stroller. I was on bed rest for a few months after having our son so we never used the stroller till the summer which was 5-6 months after buying. At this point we had all kinds of problems with the stroller. 1- the stroller never would collapse and was put into the car many times fully open. 2- There are snaps that hold the padding on but would never stay snapped. 3 - the memory recline never works. 4- It hardly ever locks and when it does lock i don't think it has ever stayed locked. There have been many more issues. We contacted Chicco and they sent us a replacement of the same stroller. which we were happy with this response till we got it and had to take that stroller apart and put parts of our old stroller on to make it whole which we could never even get some of the pieces to get on the new one. right away we were having problems with the snaps not holding and the stroller not latching. We contacted Chicco again and just wanted our money back for the stroller. They couldn't do that. So they again sent us another stroller of the same... we again are having all the same problems. even more of the padding doesn't stay on. We now have 3 of there strollers in our garage just sitting there unable to be used. We would have been happier if they would have just sent a different one of there strollers. As we have now wasted almost $200 on something we cant use. Very unhappy and will not buy from them again.

Comments about Chicco Cortina Travel System Stroller - Element:

I had this same exact stroller for my older son just in a different color. I never had any problems with it so I decided to get it again for my newborn. It is an amazing stroller. It looks so nice and its easy to put into trunk its not too bulky and the ride (as i push) is very smooth.

Comments about Chicco Cortina Travel System Stroller - Element:

We looked at 100's of strollers and loved this one.We love the stroller. It easy to fold and unfold. I was looking for a stroller with adjastable hight and this one is. We used this stroller for over 1 year and it's still like new. My kiddo loves it and very comfy in it. We take it everywhere: parks, mall & trips. Car seat for this straller is great and very safe. My little one likes it just as much as the chicco next fit zip. The only reason I am giving it a 4 star is because of the material for the car seat: my baby is ALWAYS sweats in it. If chicco could use same material as next fitzip. I would give this travel system a 6 star review! People say it's heavy... well after all it is a full size stroller/car seat system. That was never an issue for us. I love Chicco products.

Comments about Chicco Cortina Travel System Stroller - Element:

Good, but depends..on what you expect to use it for. It's a bit bulky for a quick trip to the grocery store. We live on the 2nd floor and have to first bring down the stroller then the carrier. Took awhile to figure out how to use it. But this is the only one I've ever used, so I don't know if many others are like that too. It also took awhile to figure out that I had to lift up the front leg support on the stroller in order to fold it down. It also takes up most of the trunk space. But it moves around pretty well. There is good space in the storage basket, unless you have the carrier in, then it's hard to put my purse in it.

We received this travel system from my mom and I love it. Our baby is not here yet, but we assembled it and it looks really good! I looked at other strollers and "tried them out" including this one, and I just like this one the best! It is adjustable (such as handle, I am short so works great for me and my hubby who is tall) and the color is very nice. We are having a boy and got the red one (Element) as it can work for boy or a girl. It looks to be very well made.

Comments about Chicco Cortina Travel System Stroller - Element:

My in-laws bought us this set for my son before he was born. We have used it for the last 8 months and have loved the system. The carrier/carseat was easy to install and use. The straps do not get tangled when taking my son in and out of the carrier. The stroller is great, and although he just outgrew the carrier, we still use the stroller on a daily basis. One negative to the system is that you cannot fit most diaper bags in the bottom storage basket when the stroller is used with the carrier, so be sure to get a diaper bag that can hang on the handle when pushing the stroller. It is plenty of storage space when used just as a stoller. Folding the stroller is a breeze and the adjustable handle height is great!
