Most useful registry item! We have a small kitchen/dining area, a high chair took up so much space. We were so excited when this arrived in the mail. We instantly were in love! My daughter loves that she can be a big girl and eat at the table with us now! Very easy to install and MUCH more sturdy than we thought. Our daughter is approx 27lbs and it holds her very well.

... but this seat was a huge disappointment. I was so excited to buy this seat and try it out now that my little lady is four months old and sitting up well.

Looking through reviews, everyone said it was really easy to put together and take apart, which I wanted since we would primarily be using it for eating out. But it has two sets on each side of the little metal pins that you have to push down and then shove the other metal bar over in order to lock it in place (or unlock). These things absolutely kill my fingers, and in order to fold the legs in, you have to do this once on each side, and if you want to pack it all up in the carrying case, you have to completely remove both legs every time. There's no way my fingers can take that!

I also completely missed the fact that you can only use this chair on tables that are about an inch thick or less because of the non-ratcheting safety bar in the back. The ratcheting part is only to secure the seat to extra width at the edge of the table, it's not at all an indication of how thick the table can be in total.
So I would say if you have just the right dining room table and you're only using this there, go for it. Otherwise, it's totally useless as a travel seat. So sad.

Comments about Chicco 360 Hook On - Midori:

The minute I saw this online I knew it would be prefect. As someone with little space to store bulky highchairs and also a family that travels a lot, this looks perfect for us! I cannot wait to see our little one in it!!!

Great product, but could be even better

Comments about Chicco 360 Hook On - Midori:

Bought one of these 8 years ago and used it with 3 kids. Still in great shape; we just sold it for 1/2 the new price. One complaint is that a bowl or plate can't slide closer to child due to the recessed design of the try. Would be much better if tray surface was level with the top of the seat ring. The space between the tray and the seat ring and where the fabric goes into the seat ring are also problem areas for foods spills and food accumulation. Would be great if tray covered all the way to the front edge of the seat.

Comments about Chicco 360 Hook On - Midori:

I used a hook on chair (sassy brand in the 80's and 90's) with our 4 children and loved it! (Didn't have the space for a high chair in the kitchen). So when we needed a seat for our first grandchild I went online and found the Chicco 360 hook on chair. It's great to be able to have them sit at the table with everyone else. I love the 360 turn feature (old hook on chairs did not have this). Makes feeding them easier. I have used it on our island also and they are so happy to be near you while you are preparing food/washing dishes etc. The fabric seat washes nicely in the washing machine on the gentle cycle and hung to dry. The fabric is wipeable so spot cleaning between washing is not a problem. (A seven month old will make a mess with puree food in a high chair just as much as in any seat.) A thin wet cloth cloth fits into the crevice easily to clean out any wet food. Crumbs can be vacuumed away from the crevice and seat area. The tray washes easily and is great to keep the food from getting under the "arms" of the seat. Very portable and easy to store when not in use. High chairs take up a lot of space even after you no longer need it. I love this seat! We are now using it for grandchild #2. If you are having any problems utilizing this seat refer to product manual (it's online if you don't have it). I agree with STLL lady's review including "it's more practical than a high chair, worth every penny and then some"!

Loved by the whole family!

Comments about Chicco 360 Hook On - Midori:

I introduced my 7 month old daughter to baby food a couple weeks ago, and this chair has been invaluable! She is our third child, and life is busy keeping up with her two brothers! This chair is so easy to toss in the car and bring along to grandparents, friends' houses, church activities, etc! We have attached it to our countertop peninsula, and my husband appreciates one less large piece of baby gear cluttering up our home! She can face the counter and watch mommy cook while playing with toys. She can turn towards the bar stools while I sit and feed her, or she can turn again and face the dining table and enjoy dinner as a family. So many options!! Our boys love sitting right beside her! The seat appears very comfortable (not that uncomfortable vinyl that rips!) and clean up is a breeze with wipeable fabric. I love that the center buckle is long enough to fall forward, and I never have to dig under her to find the buckle. She's just thrilled to be sitting at eye level with everyone and interacting while enjoying her food!

Not for babies learning to eat.

Comments about Chicco 360 Hook On - Midori:

Our 7 month old baby is just starting to eat and we are letting her explore the food as well as us spoon feed her. The seat is horrid to clean the purees out of, it says hand wash only, but the food will not come off unless it goes into the washing machine. Taking the seat on/off is no easy task, while not hard, it is definitely a two-handed job, so not something you can do while holding the baby. The swivel is a great feature, however food gets stuck in the swivel crevice and there is no way to get it out without a toothpick or toothbrush...who wants to spend that much time cleaning a highchair when you have a baby to care for... Not me. I can see this being useful for an older child that has learned how to eat and has minimal spills. I don't think we can return it because we've used it and washed it but I wish we could.

BEST Purchase EVER!

By STLLady

Comments about Chicco 360 Hook On - Midori:

I never bought a high chair...and have 3 kids...seriously! We had a small condo with our first child and I didn't want the high chair to take up space, so I purchased this hook on high chair instead. Even when we moved into a house and had room for the high chair, I realized...I did not need it. This chair is durable, easy to clean and was by far the BEST purchase we ever made in regards to kids items. After nine years I just packed it up because our youngest wants to sit at the table with us now. I cried putting this away for many reasons, but I wanted to make sure I gave credit where credit is due. Thank you Chicco for providing this amazing product that has meant so much to my family. It has helped feed 3 children for many years...from first bites to, spaghetti messes, food fights, and more. I would recommend this product to any new parent...believe me you do not need a bulky high chair....this works great and is much more practical. It has been worth every penny and then some!

360 is much better than the Deluxe Travel Seat

By Grandma Suzy

Comments about Chicco 360 Hook On - Midori:

We bought this to replace the Chicco Deluxe Travel Seat we had only used for one week, in order to get a feeding tray. When making the initial purchase, we didn't think about how much damage a little one would do to a wooden table top! I would have liked to be able to purchase a tray that could attach to the hook on chair with the Penguin arms, rather than having to buy an entirely new seat. The swivel is a nice plus. The biggest drawback to this brand is the long arms underneath. They restrict the places the chair can be used. We don't really have room for a traditional high chair, so this is a good choice for us.

So convenient!

Comments about Chicco 360 Hook On - Midori:

The hook-on chair has made it so easy for us to feed our little guy when we're out and about! It doesn't take much space in the trunk, so we can leave it in the car and it's always there when we need it. It folds down easily and has a handy carrying bag (although we rarely use it). The fabric seat cover is designed to come off for cleaning, but it's no easy task. I've found that spot-cleaning works pretty well and saves me a lot of trouble. The chair is a breeze to hook onto most tables - I'd recommend it to any parent!
