My 8yo son enjoys this almost daily. It really is only big enough for one kid at a time, and it's designed for indoor use only. 2 kids could easily bash heads while jumping (in addition to possibly exceeding the 100-pound weight limit). My son is 65 pounds and about 4' tall, so he'll get a couple of years out of this before outgrowing it, I hope. A pretty good bang for the buck.

This fits in our basement. It is relatively easy to assemble, though I listed that in the cons (explanation below), and the parts seem very durable. With the use of a power drill for driving screws and a socket wrench for speeding up the nut/bolt process, one person can get this done in a couple of hours.

The product scored a 4 instead of a 5 because the assembly instructions were written by someone who does not speak English. A few of the steps were horribly lost in translation and I had to make a few guesses. This led me down a wrong path: I bolted one area too soon and backtracking was a pain. Experienced toy assemblers might guess that when you put enough torque on aluminum poles, they bend, making it nearly impossible to insert another pole into it. My husband used a socket set to hammer down into them to bend them back out. I guess I should have assembled first, then gone back and tightened everything at the end.

I would recommend this to others who are looking for a starter trampoline.

The product pictured is NOT the product you will receive. You will receive a blue one that has an enclosed net (at the top) - not open at the top, weak L shaped legs instead of the W legs, the springs are much weaker and have less bounce, and it is blue not red.

After we first received the blue one, I called customer service and they said it was a mis-pull at the warehouse so we returned it and they shipped another one. The second time, the SAME one arrived. I called again and spent 1 1/2 hours on hold telling the person I really thought they had updated the product and not updated the website. 7 business days later i received a call back from them stating that they had checked the warehouse bin numbers and the skew numbers and indeed I was correct - THEY HAD UPDATED THE ITEM BUT NOT UPDATED THE PICTURE ON THE WEBSITE. Now if you have never bought one of these before this new product may be acceptable to you. However, if you have owned the red one before and are trying to replace it - please let me save you valuable time. I spoke with them over a week ago and the website still hasn't updated with the correct photo. This is frustrating - especially since the two are so different.

I owned the red one pictured and our home was severely damaged by a tornado in March and the trampoline was destroyed. My son has autism and it has been a great help to him with sensory issues. I was really sad that they changed the product so much and that it seems so much more cheaply made now despite the price being $20 higher. We will be going with a different brand now.

I must say though - the customer service care folks were great with the returns. If you have to return it ask them to email you a return label. It makes the process much easier.

It was difficult to assemble. But, the worst part of this product is that it is not very bouncy. I cannot believe they are even selling this junk. Look for other models. I would never recommend this product.

We got this for my 5 year old's birthday & she was super excited for us to put it together. We laid everything out, in the grass outside... Started to read the instruction pamphlet & multiple times throughout it emphasizes THIS PRODUCT IS FOR INDOOR USE ONLY. So, obviously this is going back. It says on the outside of the box, "outdoor play equipment" & shows a kid jumping in one outside in the grass. I am one to check reviews before purchasing items & this had no description of an indoor only trampoline. I didn't even read any reviews that people complained about this, so maybe they went ahead & used it outdoors? Or are using it inside. We just want one that will last a while outdoors.

This my first trampoline is awesome. I thought it would be a great gift to get my kids because I dont go outside a lot and now they can enjoy jumping whenever they feel, while its raining or cold, whenever. It's also the prefect size its not to big to fit in a corner in your home but just the right size for your kid to have fun. Hope you enjoy!

Picture is completely outdated. Shows red, received BLUE with PINK netting!!
Called customer service and spoke with a less than enthusiastic young lady who said "that's just the way it comes, maybe you should call the place of purchase".
My two year old daughter loves it so we will tolerate the color. Buyer beware, you will not get what you are expecting and will not get resolution from the customer service dept.

Comments about Sporttime Internatio Stats 55 inch My First Trampoline:

I got this on sale for Christmas and am happy I didn't pay full price. I had read reviews that it was difficult to attach all of the rubber bands and my husband ended up only being able to stretch 27 out of 30 to fit. I am ok with that, as my children (4 and 2) are small.

My biggest concern is that while the picture shows the bottom of the side net being attached to the frame on the inside of the bottom padding, it doesn't actually do that. There is no provision in the design to connect the bottom of the net. So my husband used some plastic zip ties to tie the net to the outer frame and it works ok. But in doing so, it stretches the opening so that it nearly doesn't Velcro closed.

But my children enjoy their Christmas present, which in the end is the most important part. So I give it an average rating.

Great product. 3 year old loves it. Frame assembles easily, but the net attachment directions aren't very clear. Once completed, my daughter won't get out of it :) Product quality is great. Instructions say for indoor use only, but pictures show it outside and the directions talk about weather exposure. We'll have to wait and see how it holds up over time.
