Hello, This is my first review and I am trying to make it as detailed as possible to ensure the best possible experience for those who decide to purchase this set. I was conflicted between purchasing this set or the 10240 UCS X-Wing Starfighter. I eventually settled on this set and so far am glad that I did. I am now going to review the set in multiple categories. Minifigures: It is cool to see the old yellow flesh color as it is how all minifigs used to be printed, but in this set it serves as a throwback to older sets and appeals to old school Lego fans. The minifigs in this set are fairly interesting and some of them actually do have back printing, which is always a plus. My only criticism is that only one blue-shirted cinema worker is included, because two are needed to run the snack bar and ticketing booth. The Build: The build for this set was very complicated at times, but not overly difficult. This set does include numbered bags, and each of the bags labeled 1, 2, or 3 corresponds to the three sections of the cinema: the first floor, second floor, and roof. However, the most difficult aspect of this build is interpreting the instruction booklet. There are times when the view of the set on the booklet is from a weird angle and it is hard to see where a piece is placed. This happened to me a few times, and I managed to get past it but inferring where the piece would be. My method, for the most part, worked. The Finished Product/Playability: First of all, this is a Modular Building, so don't expect a huge amount of playability besides moving the figures throughout the complex and removing the floors. The car is a nice touch that adds to the feel of the sets as an early 20th century movie theater. The movie posters and screen are, disappointingly, stickers, but they are not too difficult to apply and look great once they are attached. Otherwise, the detail is astounding throughout the building and it makes a great centerpiece for a Lego collection. Final Thoughts: This is my first Modular Building and I am truly amazed at the detail on the build as well as the value and piece price ratio (2194 pieces for $150). This is a great set for any Lego builder who wants to venture into the world of Modular Buildings, but keep in mind during the build there are points where you might have to "read between the lines" on the instructions. Enjoy the set! JMCbricks

I'd have to give this an average at best. I've been following and collecting each modular building as they've come out and this one unfortunately takes a small step backwards. The interior is sparse and, most strangely, the rooftop is half done. The back of the roof slopes are incomplete, which is odd when compared to the other modular buildings that have the entire roof done. It was a fun build and a great model, but when compared to the other modular buildings, it seems a bit lacking.

Comments about LEGO Creator Palace Cinema (10232):

This was the first building I brought last year and by far my favourites, until Assembly Square came out. The building itself looks amazing especially the Palace sign and roof. The interior is very detailed and I enjoyed every minute building this. The only thing I wasn't really keen on was the Limo. This is a must buy item.

Don't hurry be happy

By repputleahcim

Comments about LEGO Creator Palace Cinema (10232):

I have twin sons that 9 yrs old, I reignited my love of Lego’s when they were about 3 starting with Duplo and moving up from there. They are now both very creative builders and spend hours with Legos. We got them both a Creator set for Christmas (to help them build) and it was a blast, they both had one already. They now have all four of the available sets (cinema, restaurant, bank, detective’s office). I have enjoyed helping them build all four of them, watching them play with them, modifying them and then returning them all back to original. If you have a child that spends as much time as they can playing with legos and building some of the smaller sets on their own I would strongly recommend the purchase. Keep in mind that patience is key and that building is the fun for the parents, sorting and playing is the fun for the kids. Depending on the ability of your builder you will have to decide, but if they love to build and sort you can make a day, weekend or even week of it. Don’t try to hurry, always sort the pieces by steps before you start and then make sure you sort the pieces for each page as you go. It can be easy to get distracted and walk away only to find out 8 pages later you missed something…

Comments about LEGO Creator Palace Cinema (10232):

This was my second mod build ( after GB HQ ) and found it an enjoyable build. Great details and I was pleased I could tie in my BTTF set in and mod it with matching posters, signs and big screen film scene and when the lights go down and the spot lights come on it looks a fun place to be.
