Product Description

CHOKING HAZARD - Small parts. Not for children under 3 yrs.

Build a mini model of the game that's sweeping the Internet with a LEGO microbuild version of Minecraft...the LEGO Minecraft Micro World (21102)! Selected by LEGO CUUSOO members, this build features a cool design with lots of 1x1 LEGO tiles and 2 buildable Micromob characters: Steve and Creeper.

The LEGO Minecraft Micro World (21102) features:
  • 2 buildable Micromob characters: Player and Creeper
  • Build a Minecraft microworld with 1 stud tiles in a variety of colors for a realistic pixilated design!
  • Build the model that LEGO CUUSOO members requested!

To be able to understand why LEGO has been successful for so long, just look to the name. LEGO originally got its name from founder Ole Kirk Christiansen who combed the Danish words "Leg Got" which means "play well". He later realized that LEGO in Latin translates to "I put together." The LEGO set became a standard of creative play for children worldwide, unlocking the creativity to build vehicles, buildings, cities and more. LEGO currently produces about 20 billion LEGO bricks a year and has sold over 400 billion LEGOs in their history -- enough for every person on the planet to have over 60 LEGOs each!

I can see why there's so much hype about it. IT'S AMAZING! Lego is really fun. Minecraft is amazing. Minecraft+Lego=AMAZING! The"1 Per Customer" was smart and kind of not smart. The reason it WAS smart was because they would be able to ship the sets out faster. The reason it WASN'T smart was because they could have made more money. Either way I love it!

this set is awesome if you want it to collect dust on your shelf... you heard, me i am complete full-blown Minecraft addict and do not like this set hardly at all. This set looks cool on LEGO.com but when you get it it kinda stinks. it has absolutely no playability (for God sakes Steve doesn't fit into his house!!!???) i have been playing LEGOs with years (since i was 5) and rarely ever find a LEGO set that i don't enjoy but this one is one of the few. PROS creeper steve extra steve head CONS creeper is taller than steve (not accurate) steve can't hold anything not enough mobs(animals/monsters) too much money for no playability don't buy this for someone wanting to play with it....

Very Detailed, Harder For Larger Hands

By Gaudian

from Yorba Linda

Comments about LEGO Minecraft (21102):

1st of all-this is an overall amazing set, and I would definitely recommend it. However, there are some (very small) cons to this set. 1. MANY, MANY 1x1 tiles. (This could be a pro or con depending on who you are.) If you have larger hands, this will most likely be a very challenging build for you. 2. Following up on the previous con, it is very easy to lose pieces if you're not careful, because there's sooo many tiny pieces. And that's about it for the cons. Now for the pros. 1. AMAZING detail all around. From the varied blocks that make up the stone, to the flowing lava down the mixed stone/grass mountain, To the house that even includes an entrance and 3 windows, there are astounding levels of detail all over this set. 2. The mini-people (or whatever you'd like to call them) are brilliantly made just by stacking certain blocks together, with 1 being printed with Steve's face on it. and although the Creeper was made out of only 3 blocks, it's the best 3 blocks they could've used for the creeper, 1 of them being printed. 3. Just like Transformers, there's more than meets the eye to this set. By removing the tops off the the main blocks (which is brilliantly designed) it reveals you to an entire new cave system with small blocks representing diamond and redstone. 4. The customization. Not only can you rearrange the blocks however you want, you can take the tops off and rearrange those and the blocks separately, or even make the tops sit by themselves, making the blocks look like mountains with caves inside. OVERALL: Amazing detail, brilliantly designed, perfect for Minecraft and mini scale lovers, although it'l be a bit harder for larger hands because off all the small pieces. If you can find someone selling this set for around the original price, i'd definitely go for it.

It's mining time!

By Octosquid

Comments about LEGO Minecraft (21102):

This set is a great one, and perfectly represents minecraft. The micro world includes two 'micro mobs', and both the creeper and Steve have excellent printing. Many one-by-one SNOTs (studs not on top) are used, most of them green and tan. My only complaint is that the gold and diamonds in the set don't look like them. The diamonds are made of two cheese wedges on top of a clear two-by-one, and at first I thought it to be diamonds. Gold is a two-by-one (SNOT) golden ingot stacked upon a black two-by-one. I think that LEGO could have made these more recognizable. The caves are great, and they include lava, water, diamonds, gold, and many other cool aspects make it truly awesome. Overall, the forest micro world is great, and something all Minecraft and LEGO fans alike will love. 8.75/10

The First Night

Comments about LEGO Minecraft (21102):

This is a great set for Minecraft fans and LEGO fans alike. I simply loved the entire set. It is split in fourths, making it so that you can customize the terrain to your liking, similar to the game. The underground section features gold and diamond ores, which are easy to remove (seeing as they are 1x2 plate with either a golden 1x2 plate on top or two translucent dark blue cheese slope elements, respectively, that stand on just one a 1x1 segment of a brick) There are two gold ores and two diamond ores, one for each quadrant. ~~~~~~ The micromobs are neat, and look like the actually thing. All-in-all, it was a fantastic set.

Not a bad purchase at all.

By Seesthroughwalls

Comments about LEGO Minecraft (21102):

The current "Micro world" line of Minecraft models are all quite fascinating to me, as while the sets themselves are undeniably micro, they do an excellent job of depicting the features of the biome they are modeled after as a whole in surprising amounts of detail for models of their scale. I would describe the difficulty in constructing this set to be about average to slightly above average, as the construction of these models involves copious amounts of the minute (for my man-hands anyway) 1x1 plates and blocks. While a young builder would most likely not run into undue difficulty in the building of this model, they may require either patience or assistance to properly align all of the plates and blocks, especially in regards to the topside area of the model. I would have to say that in my opinion, this model and the other "micro world" models are slightly more geared towards being a display pieces as opposed to being an actual "play piece", though naturally your mileage may vary, depending on the builder's age and temperament. These models do make for excellent display pieces as mentioned previously, with the box they arrive in being a most attractive base. The only real issue that I could raise would be to keep a careful eye on how much you are paying for this model, as while the online LEGO shop (and possibly the official, walk-in LEGO shops) generally offers quite competitive pricing, the models of this series can suffer from an inflated mark-up in some retailers if they carry them. In summary, not a bad model at all, possibly geared towards display, pay attention to the price-tag. If LEGO were to release more "micro worlds" based on more biomes such as a mushroom island, mesa biome or jungle, I would be most interested as I find these models quite collectible.

Ssssssss *BOOM*!

By armadillosandwich

Comments about LEGO Minecraft (21102):

This is certainly the best Minecraft set out there. It has only two mobs, Steve and a Creeper, which is another reason why this set is overpriced. At least make it three like all the others. Just add a sheep in there. Anyway, besides the micromobs there is some trees, a house, mountains, lava and water with some caves. It all depends on how you want to build it, since there is three ways of setting it up (plus anything you can come up with). As said before, $35 is much too expensive for any Minecraft LEGO, this one most of all. But given the rarity, I suppose we can expect it. I like all the Minecraft sets, but let it be known that you have to get this one no matter what else you get, otherwise there's no Steve, and if there's no Steve, there's no game. Great thing to have, though.

Perfect gift for Minecraft Fans

By jammies

from Undisclosed

Comments about LEGO Minecraft (21102):

I bought this as a 25th birthday present for my boyfriend who is a massive LEGO and Minecraft fan, so this seemed like the perfect gift. However if I thought he'd like it I was wrong, he loved it! I never seen him so excited about something. His friend came over and they spent the whole night building it and he has been telling Minecraft/Lego fans since about this set since. The built size is quite small but that didn't seem to matter much to him and it was such a hit I will be getting other sets in the range for him in the future.

Comments about LEGO Minecraft (21102):

i have used this product and i would say that its is well worth the money. it is on a very small scale of actual minecraft and takes small fingers becouse of the such small pieces involved in this build. i think that lego minecrat is a great idea, and that lego should make many many more sets.

I had a great amount of ...

By Forge

from Portsmouth

Comments about LEGO Minecraft (21102):

I had a great amount of fun building this Minecraft set. I must admit when I first opend the box I was like a little bit daunted be the amount of small fiddly bits of lego were in the bags. Once I got started it was not as bad as I first thought. I found the set very easy to build and was a great pleasure to do so. Overall it took me about 4 hours to complete the set, which is pretty good value for money in my opinion. I particularly enjoyed building the little house. One thing I would say is that I don't think the mini figs, as unique as they are, are not great for playing with. Simply because as soon as you place them somewhere when you remove them they take a piece of the tiny lego bits with them and it's a bit of a pain to separate them. But over all very good value money. Pros Great looking set. Good fun to build. Lovely colour design. Cons Mini figures are not brilliant. Lots of tiny little bits, could be difficult for younger builders.
