I have a 3 year old & a newborn its great to keep them in one stroller for walks or outings. This stroller is so versatile & easy to use. The more I use it, the more I love it. It's even lighter than my single seat baby jogger which was a surprise to me.
My 3 year old wanted a shade & a reclining seat too that's why I picked this over the sit & stand. When my older child is ready for the sit & stand part, I can just take the back seat & shade off.

Let me start off by stating I really had hoped this "WAS" the stroller and it would fit my needs as my girls are just over a year apart. Not to mention that this company is one of the longest outstanding companies to offer the double / tandem stroller.

I HATE this stroller and have regretted it since the first day I used it. There are so many design flaws in this stroller, in which I recently learned the company has not fixed in the last years since the purchase of mine.

The design flaws really should be addressed and these are items you don't think about in practice use, since the store surrounds does not allow you to get a true feel for the stroller in a controlled environment, including smooth strolling.

The first time i used the stroller talking a walk down to the park, and a normal sidewalk that has some uneven panels (totally normal) toward the end of winter, and the front canopy just collapses on its own. It won't stay open. I had to constantly stop and stretch open the canopy.

The canopy appears to be more on the narrow side and leaves your child somewhat exposed to the elements. You can tilt the canopy forward or backwards, but in my opinion still lacks accurate coverage.

The back canopy is attached to the frame. It is not wide enough either have a downward shade, so unless you plan on your child in a permanent recliner position tis a no go. The back canopy does unbutton in which you you can try and tilt forward to protect your child but nothing to hold it in place so either is rests on the tray or you have to keep it attached to the frame.

It appears no matter which direction we walked the children did not have enough shade coverage on either canopy.

The back seat never says fully inclined. The child sits more in a leaning back position. Which forces my child to try and pull her self up holding onto the tray to stay up. Then what is the purpose of the seat if its not providing any back support?! Over time the back strap which is more like a slipping mechanism continues to gradually slip even further to a reclining position . The strap does not lock into place.

The under carriage has a harder plastic bottom to the basket. It is constantly getting caught between the front foot step and the back one which will not allow you stroller to close. .

The "ONE HAND" close of the stroller is a LIE. Try its works best with 4 hands. And unless you have grown an extra two pairs of hands not so user friendly when on your own with your two or more children.

Not to mention the fact that the wheels have to be facing a particular direction and perfectly aligned for it to collapse.

You can only imagine the fight you have to go through to close it down and just imagine when you are sitting on the jetway trying to get the stupid thing to close so that you can give it to the baggage handler.

And don't forget to lock your wheels entirely before you try to collapse the stroller or it just rolls away and since it is a bit bulky hard to manage an easy roll back.

Plan on using two hands and a momentum swing to get it into the back of your car. Have a SUV, not full size, and it definitely has to go in at an angle to fit. We had to rent a full size car when we went out of town to ensure the stroller would in fact fit in the trunk.

Really consider these design flaws before you purchase this thing. Hopefully this reviewed open your eyes to the reality of the practical use of a stroller and this fails in so many ways

PS i couldn't give this **0** stars as it required I pick at least one...But ZERO is my response

Fits both children comfortably but not enough storage space for diaper bag not enough room for phone and keys in compartment up top. Folds pretty small and compacts actually smaller than the single stroller. Is tough to close and lock most of the time due to Wheels not staying in place when closing

Comments about Baby Trend Eclipse Sit 'n Stand Double Stroller - Spark:

This works so well for our family of four. Our Graco carrier fits in it just fine. It is heavier than a single stroller but I think it should be. It's a lot sturdier than a single stroller as well.

I wish it had 4 cup holders but glad to have the two in the handle. Could fold a little easier but once you get the hang of it it's no problem. Could use more storage beneath but that's always the case. Really nice stroller for the money. The color is neutral so it will work for any other new additions. Our toddler loves her freedom to move around and explore but rest when she wants to. I can still reach and tend tonour newborn. Lots of flexible arrangements for the littles make this a great purchase.

Comments about Baby Trend Eclipse Sit 'n Stand Double Stroller - Spark:

I chose this stroller because my girls are only 22 months apart, and I needed a stroller that could carry my Britax car seat now but seat both of my girls in a few months. This stroller does all of that. I like the many different seating options. That's the main reason I gave this stroller 3 stars. Right now I'm using it to hold a car seat and a seat for my 22 month old. When my baby is older I will use both seats, and as my oldest grows bigger she can take advantage of the bench seat to either sit or stand. I like that option for when we go places like the zoo. I won't have to unbuckle her at each exhibit. She can just hop off and on. It's also a great price for a double stroller. It's easy to push, has a parent tray, and 2 child trays. Those are about the only positives I can say. For me, this stroller is heavy. It's also pretty bulky and takes up a lot of room in my minivan. It takes a lot of steps to change the stroller from one seating position to another. It's hard to reach the carrying place underneath when children are in the stroller. It takes 2 hands and arms to fold it up and the wheels and trays have to be in just the right position or it won't fold. The stroller days it holds my Britax Chaperone car seat and it does, but it doesn't "click in". It rests in the tray and then is held up by a strap. It's safe and secure, but I'd feel better about it if it clicked in place more securely rather than just resting on the tray. With that said, I looked at a lot of double strollers before purchasing this one. I knew these issues before I bought it and it still was a better option than the others I looked at, especially for the price.

This stroller is hard to push and super heavy. It's difficult to fold (I still don't even know how to do it, so my husband has to do it for me!) It also appears uncomfortable for my kids. I have the Britax B-Agile single stroller as well and I guess I was just so use to the ease of that one. I will be selling my sit-to-stand and purchasing the Britax double stroller!

Overall the stroller serves it purpose. There is adequate storage under the seats. The stroller is hard to maneuver at times and there is not a lot of leg room for a taller toddler in the seats.
Stroller is difficult to fold up, does not always fold completely on first attempt, and the back seat tray needs to be removed in order to fold the stroller to the locking position which is not very convenient. When it does fold to the full locking position, it is decent sized and not too heavy to lift in and out of a car.

Works great with a toddler and a car seat, which is Chico brand. Collapsing the stroller is the worst part. Our Chico brand single stroller collapses much better and snaps into locked position automatically with ease. This double stroller collapses, then you have to secure the manual latch to lock it closed, and then manually unlock the latch to unfold the stroller. Otherwise we live it!
