Nosefrida "The Snotsucker" Nasal Aspirator

The Nosefrida "The Snotsucker" Nasal Aspirator is a safe and effective way of cleaning your baby's nostrils. The non-invasive design forms a seal outside the nostril instead of going inside. Then by the power of your own mouth, you can create the suction necessary for aspiration. The pieces come apart for easy cleaning.

Product Highlights

  • Non-invasive design forms a seal outside the baby's nostril
  • Parent-powered mouth suction is strong and effective
  • Pieces come apart for easy cleaning
Safe for baby
The non-invasive design forms a seal around your little one's nostril - instead of inside - to create the vacuum necessary for aspiration.
Parent-powered
Use your mouth to draw upon the mouthpiece end to create a desired suction that is strong and effective for clearing out your little one's nostrils.

Product Description

Nosefrida, the original doctor-developed and doctor-recommended nasal aspirator is the new standard in keeping babies naturally snot free. Ingeniously simple Swedish design features a tube that is placed against the nostril (not inside). Parents use their own suction to draw mucus out of their child's nose. Disposable filters prevent any bacterial transfer. Nosefrida is easy to clean, top-rack safe, and BPA and Phthalate free. It is superior to the bulb aspirator, presents no risk or harm to internal nasal structures and is dramatically more efficacious.

Let's get this part out of the way and into the open... the thought of sucking out snot with a straw is disturbing to say the least. The friendly picture of a mom doing just this on the front of the package won't do much to help ease your trepidation. In fact, the first time I saw this product I laughed and passed it by swearing I would never do anything so disgusting!

Plain and simple fact, your child WILL get a cold or two within their first year. Seeing that infants have very little in an established immune system that means lots of stuffy noses, snot and boogers that YOU will have to deal with. With a stuffy nose it will be difficult for your baby to eat and sleep as babies tend to be nose-breathers. This will mean lots of fussiness for the parents. When your child is producing what seems like gallons of snot, THOSE TRADITIONAL BULB-SUCKERS JUST WILL NOT CUT IT!

Out of pure desperation I bought the Nosefrida. I felt like the mom and baby on the front of the package were mocking me with a look of "We knew you'd be back." Now, I can honestly see why... This thing is AWESOME!!! If we look purely at results, the Nosefrida wins hands down compared to the competition. While its design is extremely simple, it is cleverly built in a way that prevents you from accidentally swallowing something from your baby's nose. It has a filter but in my experience (and I've had a lot at this point) the contents you remove from your child's nose very rarely make it that far up the tube anyhow.

The Nosefrida allows you to use enough suction to effectively unblock your child's nose quickly and safely. I was very hesitant at first as I didn't want to accidentally create so much suction in my son's nose that I'd pop a blood vessel or something. This was not the case at all. While my son generally doesn't want me bothering him with such things, I can tell that he's learned to know the sight of the Nosefrida means he'll be able to breath well again when its all done.

On top of all of this, the Nosefrida is very easy to clean. It seems to have a non-stick surface that allows a quick rinse with hot water to remove all of the tube's contents.

I don't at all think it will ever seem any less weird or disgusting to use the Nosefrida, but I otherwise have nothing but good things to say about it. BUY THIS!

We've ventured into many different brands of nasal aspirators but this was by far the least effective. Our trials are conducted on an 11 month old that has been very stuffy in connection with the seasons and teething. We have the hospital-standard issue, the Little Noses, the Safety First pump action, the Safety First battery operated with music...and the Nosefrida. Nosefrida has not earned a place in pur arsenal though my baby loves to hold the tube! The suction seems insufficient for the. , the tip is too large for direct suction on specific areas...even when they are visible to the eye. I bought the device with high hopes, as well as extea filters and have had no success at all though I have tried multiple times. I generally just resort to the hospital standard issue and make do. I have had no snot-sucking success at all with Nosefrida.

Comments about Fridababy Nosefrida ""The Snotsucker"" Nasal Aspirator:

My 6 week old daughter had a cold and was congested but I couldn't see any boogers in her nose. Her pediatrician said not to use the sucker from the hospital unless I could see something in her nose. My friend swore by the snot sucker and I was so disgusted by it but I reluctantly purchased and used it. It was the best baby buy and I'm so glad I bought it! I think it really helped get rid of her cold/caught because it sucked out all the mucus from her nose that she couldn't get out herself. You don't even need to stick it in her nose, it just sits at the enter entrance of her nose and creates a suction. My daughter even smiled when I used it. Before buying it I was scared that I would inhale snot but it is impossible to do so. Snot stays in a separate vile from the tube. I think everyone should get one of they have a sick baby.

A friend told me about this product and I thought I'd try it. When I first used the Nosefrida I was a little grossed out by the idea of a snot sucker that you use with your mouth. However this is the greatest nasal aspirator Ever!! I've used other nasal aspirators and none compare to Nosefridas efficiency. Unlike other nasal aspirators this product is easy to clean, it comes apart and is dishwasher safe!

Effective device to clear mucus from the nose of the child, I used it with my 1 month old son and 1,5 year daughter. The only thing - part for the mucus is so big so it difficult to get out the mucus, you need to make good inhale!

My daughter caught a cold from the climate change and she was so congested with all the boogers. I had a bulb nose sucker but it didn't do much for her. I've been looking into the Nosefrida for quite sometime (it's the price that scares me away from buying it) I read reviews after reviews and have seen good ones and bad ones, but I was desperate to help my daughter have a good night sleep again so I went out and bought it and I've got to say... IT'S THE BEST THING EVER!! it works so much faster then a bulb sucker- one and done.

My son had a really nasty cold and that little blue aspirater just wasn't doing anything. So I bought the nose frida, totally worth it! Seems weird and looks weirder to anyone looking but it was fantastic! After 2 nights of rough sleeping, the look of peaceful sleep on his little face made the $15-20 (I don't remember how much it costs) so unbelievably worth it.

My son hated the blue bulb (he would cry hysterically) I got at the hospital so I looked for an alternative and found great reviews for nosefrida. Tried it out and he still gets bothered when I clean his nose but doesn't compare to the crazy crying he was doing before. It does a great job removing all the snot in the nose but wish it would remove the phlems deep inside as well. Love that I'm able to see what I'm removing since its a clear tube.

I bought this at the suggestion of my pediatrician, along with saline drops. This is MUCH more effective than the blue bulb the hospital gives you. It cleans out nasal passages and some of the sinus cavities. It is easy to clean and I am not the least bit concerned with snot traveling up the tube (gag!)
It does seem pricey at first but it has been 100% worth the money. It's quick and easy to use, gentle on her face and nose, and you can see what comes out to monitor for infection and such.

I highly suggest this product and it is a great gift!
