Nosefrida "The Snotsucker" Nasal Aspirator

The Nosefrida "The Snotsucker" Nasal Aspirator is a safe and effective way of cleaning your baby's nostrils. The non-invasive design forms a seal outside the nostril instead of going inside. Then by the power of your own mouth, you can create the suction necessary for aspiration. The pieces come apart for easy cleaning.

Product Highlights

  • Non-invasive design forms a seal outside the baby's nostril
  • Parent-powered mouth suction is strong and effective
  • Pieces come apart for easy cleaning
Safe for baby
The non-invasive design forms a seal around your little one's nostril - instead of inside - to create the vacuum necessary for aspiration.
Parent-powered
Use your mouth to draw upon the mouthpiece end to create a desired suction that is strong and effective for clearing out your little one's nostrils.

Product Description

Nosefrida, the original doctor-developed and doctor-recommended nasal aspirator is the new standard in keeping babies naturally snot free. Ingeniously simple Swedish design features a tube that is placed against the nostril (not inside). Parents use their own suction to draw mucus out of their child's nose. Disposable filters prevent any bacterial transfer. Nosefrida is easy to clean, top-rack safe, and BPA and Phthalate free. It is superior to the bulb aspirator, presents no risk or harm to internal nasal structures and is dramatically more efficacious.

The Nosefrida "The Snotsucker" Nasal Aspirator Features:

  • Simple and Effective. The simple Swedish design features a BPA and Phthalate free tube that is placed against babies nostril (not inside).

  • Hygienic. The disposable Hygiene Filters are clinically proven to prevent the transfer of mucus or bacterial germs. It is recommended to change the filter after each use.

  • Easy to Use. NoseFrida uses parents' own suction to clear babies stuffy noses. Place large tube against child's nostril creating a seal, use red mouthpiece to suck out snot. Move tube in a circular motion against child's nostril.

  • Easy to Clean. All pieces come apart. Most parts are top-rack dishwasher safe.

  • Guaranteed. Lifetime warranty on all replacement parts.

Let's get this part out of the way and into the open... the thought of sucking out snot with a straw is disturbing to say the least. The friendly picture of a mom doing just this on the front of the package won't do much to help ease your trepidation. In fact, the first time I saw this product I laughed and passed it by swearing I would never do anything so disgusting!

Plain and simple fact, your child WILL get a cold or two within their first year. Seeing that infants have very little in an established immune system that means lots of stuffy noses, snot and boogers that YOU will have to deal with. With a stuffy nose it will be difficult for your baby to eat and sleep as babies tend to be nose-breathers. This will mean lots of fussiness for the parents. When your child is producing what seems like gallons of snot, THOSE TRADITIONAL BULB-SUCKERS JUST WILL NOT CUT IT!

Out of pure desperation I bought the Nosefrida. I felt like the mom and baby on the front of the package were mocking me with a look of "We knew you'd be back." Now, I can honestly see why... This thing is AWESOME!!! If we look purely at results, the Nosefrida wins hands down compared to the competition. While its design is extremely simple, it is cleverly built in a way that prevents you from accidentally swallowing something from your baby's nose. It has a filter but in my experience (and I've had a lot at this point) the contents you remove from your child's nose very rarely make it that far up the tube anyhow.

The Nosefrida allows you to use enough suction to effectively unblock your child's nose quickly and safely. I was very hesitant at first as I didn't want to accidentally create so much suction in my son's nose that I'd pop a blood vessel or something. This was not the case at all. While my son generally doesn't want me bothering him with such things, I can tell that he's learned to know the sight of the Nosefrida means he'll be able to breath well again when its all done.

On top of all of this, the Nosefrida is very easy to clean. It seems to have a non-stick surface that allows a quick rinse with hot water to remove all of the tube's contents.

I don't at all think it will ever seem any less weird or disgusting to use the Nosefrida, but I otherwise have nothing but good things to say about it. BUY THIS!

It was tough using this product on my 6 month old. he hated it and would move all over the place because he simply did not want the tube up his nose. needless to say it was pretty difficult to use. I'm guessing its easier with both parents. one to hold the child's head still and the other to use the product. after I used it one time. I took it apart to clean it and for some strange reason the tubes dont fit in each other anymore. I have to either exchange it now or return it. sorry. but I've heard great things from other moms with older kids.

Comments about Fridababy Nosefrida ""The Snotsucker"" Nasal Aspirator:

This is the best way to clear my newborns nose. They tend to cry when you try clearing their noses and I'll feel really bad although it has to get done. With other aspirators it's more of a hassle because it takes multiple tries to get their noses clean. But this one is awesome. In the first try, I'll get all of her snot out. Makes me happy that I don't have to really bother her or make her cry, as opposed to using others. Love this!! I would so recommend it to other mommies out there :)

I didn't buy this originally because the idea of it grossed me out. I didn't see how you could remove boogers using your mouth and not get any in there.
My little one had a stuffed up and runny nose for days. That little bulb was terrible and did nothing but irritate her nose. I finally gave in and bought this after reading reviews and I am now a promoter! I've already told my friends to go get one because it really works so well! It doesn't irritate her nose and after a slight discomfort, she can breathe and is all smiles! Also very easy to clean.

Recommended to me by our pediatrician. We purchased it same day and braved the idea of snot in my mouth. Turns out there is no chance of sucking down any of your kid's boogers and being able to claim the ultimate sacrifice in the name of hygiene. The filter protects you from the mucus and what not. I had no idea that the constant suction would actually work and make me paranoid about how much snot my baby boy could produce. Excellent product.

After many friends' recommendations, I finally tried it for my 3rd, who is 21 months. She was not having it. She didn't seem to like the feeling of snot being sucked, and kept batting it away. Wish I had gotten one sooner so that she would be used to it by now. I've heard great things. It didn't work well for us, though. I also had to use a tissue to grab the string of snot that was being pulled out of her nose when I was finally able to get her to let me try.
