Nosefrida "The Snotsucker" Nasal Aspirator

The Nosefrida "The Snotsucker" Nasal Aspirator is a safe and effective way of cleaning your baby's nostrils. The non-invasive design forms a seal outside the nostril instead of going inside. Then by the power of your own mouth, you can create the suction necessary for aspiration. The pieces come apart for easy cleaning.

Product Highlights

  • Non-invasive design forms a seal outside the baby's nostril
  • Parent-powered mouth suction is strong and effective
  • Pieces come apart for easy cleaning
Safe for baby
The non-invasive design forms a seal around your little one's nostril - instead of inside - to create the vacuum necessary for aspiration.
Parent-powered
Use your mouth to draw upon the mouthpiece end to create a desired suction that is strong and effective for clearing out your little one's nostrils.

Product Description

Nosefrida, the original doctor-developed and doctor-recommended nasal aspirator is the new standard in keeping babies naturally snot free. Ingeniously simple Swedish design features a tube that is placed against the nostril (not inside). Parents use their own suction to draw mucus out of their child's nose. Disposable filters prevent any bacterial transfer. Nosefrida is easy to clean, top-rack safe, and BPA and Phthalate free. It is superior to the bulb aspirator, presents no risk or harm to internal nasal structures and is dramatically more efficacious.

Let's get this part out of the way and into the open... the thought of sucking out snot with a straw is disturbing to say the least. The friendly picture of a mom doing just this on the front of the package won't do much to help ease your trepidation. In fact, the first time I saw this product I laughed and passed it by swearing I would never do anything so disgusting!

Plain and simple fact, your child WILL get a cold or two within their first year. Seeing that infants have very little in an established immune system that means lots of stuffy noses, snot and boogers that YOU will have to deal with. With a stuffy nose it will be difficult for your baby to eat and sleep as babies tend to be nose-breathers. This will mean lots of fussiness for the parents. When your child is producing what seems like gallons of snot, THOSE TRADITIONAL BULB-SUCKERS JUST WILL NOT CUT IT!

Out of pure desperation I bought the Nosefrida. I felt like the mom and baby on the front of the package were mocking me with a look of "We knew you'd be back." Now, I can honestly see why... This thing is AWESOME!!! If we look purely at results, the Nosefrida wins hands down compared to the competition. While its design is extremely simple, it is cleverly built in a way that prevents you from accidentally swallowing something from your baby's nose. It has a filter but in my experience (and I've had a lot at this point) the contents you remove from your child's nose very rarely make it that far up the tube anyhow.

The Nosefrida allows you to use enough suction to effectively unblock your child's nose quickly and safely. I was very hesitant at first as I didn't want to accidentally create so much suction in my son's nose that I'd pop a blood vessel or something. This was not the case at all. While my son generally doesn't want me bothering him with such things, I can tell that he's learned to know the sight of the Nosefrida means he'll be able to breath well again when its all done.

On top of all of this, the Nosefrida is very easy to clean. It seems to have a non-stick surface that allows a quick rinse with hot water to remove all of the tube's contents.

I don't at all think it will ever seem any less weird or disgusting to use the Nosefrida, but I otherwise have nothing but good things to say about it. BUY THIS!

We've ventured into many different brands of nasal aspirators but this was by far the least effective. Our trials are conducted on an 11 month old that has been very stuffy in connection with the seasons and teething. We have the hospital-standard issue, the Little Noses, the Safety First pump action, the Safety First battery operated with music...and the Nosefrida. Nosefrida has not earned a place in pur arsenal though my baby loves to hold the tube! The suction seems insufficient for the. , the tip is too large for direct suction on specific areas...even when they are visible to the eye. I bought the device with high hopes, as well as extea filters and have had no success at all though I have tried multiple times. I generally just resort to the hospital standard issue and make do. I have had no snot-sucking success at all with Nosefrida.

Comments about Fridababy Nosefrida ""The Snotsucker"" Nasal Aspirator:

I use this everyday on my 4 month old who has small nasal passages and has a lot of mucous and snot! He doesn't like this, but he also hated the bulb syringe too, which holds a lot of bacteria in it and can't wash it very well. The nosefrida is very easy to wash and I can control the strength of the nosesucker too. Yes, the idea of sucking up your child's snot is gross, but there are filters and a long tube so there is no way the snot will be getting into my mouth! The price is great too, have to buy filters but they are cheap and many come in a pack. It is worth it and best nose sucker out there.

Better than the nose pump. It's easy to use & it doesn't hurt them. My son hated the nose pump & would fight me every time I use it. A friend recommended I try the nosefrida & now it's made my life so much easier. Great product - I would highly recommend to any mom!!

Comments about Fridababy Nosefrida ""The Snotsucker"" Nasal Aspirator:

My husband and I have tried the traditional blue bulb- doesn't seem to get all of the mucus or can't get in the nose cavity to really reach the mucus. We've tried the battery operated Grayco nose suctioner- it worked much better until they stopped putting in the package the tip that really got into the nose cavity to reach the mucus. Plus, if the childs nose is very full of mucus, it fills this thing up fast and overflows into the mechanics. We've gone through 3-4 in a yrs time. The Nosefrida is man powered by the parent. Even though it may seem gross to get the mucus out this way, it works and gets it ALL OUT! We really like this one!

Comments about Fridababy Nosefrida ""The Snotsucker"" Nasal Aspirator:

Bought this to replace our graco aspirator since the cup on it broke. Really gets the snot out. We put tissue pieces in rather than replacing the little sponge piece. After every use would be very expensive buying them all the time. Kids aren't fond of getting their noses sucked, no matter what product. But it definitely gets the job done when they are really congested. We use saline drops too before using it to help break up mucus.

I use saline nasal drops and then use the nose frieda. I keep one upstairs and one downstairs. The only issue is if you don't rinse the tube out right away, sometimes it's hard to clean. They should include a cleaning brush or something.

Yes, the idea of sucking snot is gross, but my poor baby girl's nose was blocked so badly, and I'd do anything to help her breathe. This product came the most recommended during my research, and, sure enough, it works! In turn, I'm recommending it to other parents!

I really like this snotsucker, it does very good job unlike those rubber bulbs that you usually get from the hospitals. Not irritating for the little nostrils. The only thing I regret is not buying this thing earlier.

My 4 month old came down with her first cold and was VERY snotty and congested. The bulb syringe they give you at the hospital just wasn't cutting it and I had heard about NoseFrida from other mommy friends. It's AMAZING! Sucked all the boogers out as if my LO had blown her nose herself. I used it a few times a day to help her stuffy nose, the only downside is that she HATED it, but nothing against the product itself. Easy to use, easy to clean, made baby (and mommy) feel better thru her first cold. Asked my husband if he would use it on me if I got sick, should have seen the look on his face :)
