The Play-Doh Mountain of Colors set includes a whopping 15 cans (10 two-ounce cans and 5 five-ounce cans) of Play-Doh compound and lots of accessories. Your child can play for hours with so many colors and tools, they can make all kinds of exciting, imaginative creations!

The Play Doh brand is proud to celebrate over 50 years of colorful, creative play. Play Doh first introduced in 1956, Play Doh modeling compound has become a classic and beloved toy, used in homes and schools around the world by children of all ages. In 1956 Play Doh Brand modeling compound, a non-toxic reusable modeling compound developed by Rainbow Crafts in Cincinnati, Play Doh was demonstrated and sold in the toy department of Woodward & Lothrop Department Store in Washington, D.C. Play Doh compound is available only in one color and size, an off-white, 1.5-pound can. One year earlier, Play Doh was introduced to schools, kindergartens and nursery schools. In 1991 Play Doh compound joins Hasbro, Inc. as part of the Playskool line, when Hasbro purchased the Tonka Corporation and its Kenner and Parker Brothers divisions.

Play-Doh Remains a Great Classic Toy!

This was a great toy for my toddler son. There were a good variety of colors and amounts of play dough and the cutters were easy for him to handle as well. Very affordable.

The only downside of Play-Doh, as I'm sure everyone is aware, is the clean-up element. Definitely do this in a room with a hard floor, because it's a veritable hell to get infintesimally-tiny crumbs of the stuff out of your rugs, even when it hardens.

Overall, lots of fun for both Kevin and me. Safe for toddlers and actually recommended for them by Early Intervention specialists, as it helps their gross motor skills. Good alternative to sitting in front of the television on those cold winter days when you're stuck in the house.

I found the playdoh very messy. I bought this for a 5 year old for Christmas and in a few days everything was all in my floors and or dryed up. Others might enjoy this but I did not I will not buy playdoh again unless it is for school and it stays at school.

My child is 7 and she still loves to play with her Play-Doh.
It is great for rainy days when she is stuck in the house, she will play for hours.
If it gets ground into her clothes it always washes out.

I bought this for my two boys (ages 2 & 4) for Christmas, they weren't too excited when they opened the present but a few days after xmas we opened the box and let them choose a couple colors to play with and now they are asking to play with it every day! I've been out of the play-do loop, I was surprised at how many colors are in this package!
I just clear off the kitchen table and let them build things or "cook" stuff. It comes with several play-do cut outs, rollers and fruit punch outs. I had also gotten them a kitchen dish play set that had a rolling pin and cookie cut outs, so we roll out play-do and make cookies! Its a lot of fun, so many different things to do. Easy to clean up, no smell left behind.
