This is the best tool to use to get your child to put themselves to sleep. I used it for both my children and it works. The secret is to use it early on while you feed and rock your baby. The baby will associate the music with the comfort of your arms and the music will soothe and calm the mother to relax the baby. I only wish it was made in a smaller size for traveling. I've actually taken it with me on vacation.

Our son is now 3 1/2 and we received this when he was born. When we transitioned him out of the crib and into a big bed at 2 1/2 so that his 6 mo old sister could get out of the pack n play he kept climbing back into the crib. That is, until we figured out that he was getting back in there so that he could play his aquarium. He has it next to him in his big bed and uses it to fall to sleep and for if he wakes up in the middle of the night. He will even turn it on to help his sister go to sleep. I'm thinking of getting another one for when the motor finally goes on this one!

I found this in the crib here at Nemours DuPont Hospital for Children in Delaware. My niece is recovering from intestinal surgery that went well. This is the only toy in the room other than her pacifier. She is noticeably upset, she can't eat anything for at least two weeks after the surgery. Well this aquarium completely mesmerizes her and it really helps her doze off. I really can't believe how well it works and am so happy I found it here online.

This aquarium has enabled me to get an extra hour of sleep every morning. My son wakes up plays with it for a little while and then falls back to sleep for another hour or so.

When I bought this product, I had visions of my daughter being lulled to sleep with the soft lights and peaceful music. Unfortunately, it had quite the opposite impact on my stubborn little one: she loved it so much she became hyper and all thoughts of sleep vanished. 45 minutes later-- after much squealing and jumping--she was fussy and unable to wind down. Another problem I had is that she often hit it by accident in the middle of the night causing it to turn on and startle her awake.

I recommend this product as a toy or for something to distract baby, but not for a sleep aid. I now keep it in her crib, and (if I remember) during her nap I sneak in and turn it on. She wakes up delighted to play with it and will remain entertained for a long time.

I do have an older model, but another complaint I have is that it takes a lot of batteries and it seems to crank through them pretty quickly. I don't use this regularly, but I've changed the batteries at least three times in 15 months.

I got this at a garage sale for [$] and I'm glad I didn't spend more than that on it. My 6 month old is totally not interested in it and it doesn't help her fall asleep at all. It keeps her attention for maybe 5 minutes. Maybe she'll be more into it when she's a bit older, but I'm not holding my breath.

We actually have the older version of this and my three year old who was still in his crib until about a week ago loved it. We've had it since he was born and he continually played with it. We had to change the batteries so many times because it got used so much. I am buying this one for my brother's new baby and hopefully it will be of the same quality.

The perfect gift for the first new baby in a family. And, because it is so durable, it can be used for all the other babies that follow.
Puts baby to sleep.
She turns it on and off when she pleases.
Lulls her back to sleep if she wakes up during the night.
It will eventually turn off by itself.
