The lights and sounds are enriching for kids without being too annoying to adults. I like the cause and effect aspect of the lever. Our youngest kids are 1 & 2, they both enjoy this toy.

Everything I thought it would be and at a great value. Entertaining for both my 18 month old grandchild and special needs 2 1/2 year old.

My kids received this for their first Birthday and they still love it at 2 1/2. Absolutely recommend this!!

I ordered this for my twin grandsons first birthday, choosing it because of other reviews. The boys caught on right away on how to get the gumballs out, but then would move onto something else with more variety and action.

We've had this toy for almost 4 years. It was one of my daughter's favorite toys, so we saved it for future children. Now it is a favorite of my 1 year old son. Both kids LOVED pushing the lever to let the balls out. And as they got older they also put the balls back in. My son plays with it daily. It's not a toy that he plays with for a long time period, but at this age they don't have a long attention span. Cute little music and lights (not all toys have to be about teaching numbers and colors, etc. And it's refreshing to NOT have to lsiten to that with EVERY toy you buy now.

Love this toy!! Had this for my daughter who is now 7. She loved it!! When she was about 6 months old she figured out how to push the lever. She was so proud of herself. Unfortuatly I gave it away and plan on buying it again for my son who is due in may. I would hawever recommend buying the extra balls.

I just bought this for my niece. I had it for my daughter when she was a baby and she loved it. Entertaining, good for motor skills, etc. I really love this toy.

I bought this for my 1st child over 4 years ago, when he was about 6 months old. He loved it from day 1!! We went through multiple stages with it: I would pull the lever, he would pull the lever, he learned to put the balls in, to finally he learned to turn the knob to "put the money in". Each of these steps was a developmental step for him, and he was probably close to 2 before he realized the knob turned.
I agree, this should not be bought for a 3 year old, but it is perfect (at least for my children) for a 6+ to grow and learn with.
I now have a 1 year old and he has been enjoying it since he was just a couple months old. He still plays with it all the time. I think it hold his attention as long as anything else does (if there is something that will hold their attention for more then 5-10 minutes I have not found it). Price is perfect for this item. It is put together great & batteries last in it forever. Bottom line is there is no toy that all children universally love, but we are 2 for 2 here and for my boys that is saying a lot!!!

I have a daycare and ALL of the kids I watch infant through 4 play with this toy constantly and have for over 5 years. They love the balls the most. The downside is the kids love to throw the balls and they are hard plastic. The kids love pushing the lever and watching the balls come out. Very easy to play with for all ages. One other downside is kids like to stuff other toys into the machine which can get stuck. I give this as gifts all the time. My niece got rid of all of her baby toys and she won't let her mom get rid of this one because she loves it so much. Great toy and well made--I have had it for over 7 years with at least 20 kids playing with it and it is still in great shape.
