I was just recommending this product to a friend and came here to grab the link for her. Figured I'd rate it and let the parents who are looking know that we love this monitor!! We bought it when our 1st son was born Dec 2006 and it's still going strong 3+ years later! We now use it for both of the kids (2nd was born Dec '08). No problems. Also know a few friends that also purchased this in 2006 and they still love it.

I really like that I am able to keep an eye on my son while he is in his crib and the volume is so good that I can hear him breathing. The thing that absolutely drives me insane is the static! I also think you should have the option to keep the picture showing if the monitor is not plugged in, instead of it automatically shutting off and having to click the button to turn it back on. Overall it does what i need it to do.

At first this product was wonderful. We keep it plugged into our t.v. and watch our little guy sleep every night. If we used the handheld monitor (which this was rare)it worked well but battery did not last long. Now after 18 months the on/off switch is not working, therefore, we can't see the picture unless it's through our t.v. Summer Infant won't replace because it's past a year but I could buy another, no thank you! Very disappointed that something else can't be done to fix this problem.

Great monitor overall! I love being able to check on my baby without having to go into her room.
It does get some feedback sometimes but I find that you move the handheld monitor's position, it tends to clear up.
One thing I didn't like is that a neighbor of mine must have this same monitor. I turned on the handheld monitor to check on my daughter and it was showing a different crib. My husband had turned off our camera after our daughter's previous nap and it was picking up a neighbors camera. (Must have great range :) but still a little creepy.)

We got this as a gift and since it was a little pricy (we thought), we weren't sure if we were going to keep it. Our friends convinced us to keep it and I am so glad we did. With any monitor you get some static, but it doesn't keep me awake and that's all that matters to me at night. It is so nice to be able to see your baby at night or whenever she is in her crib. Sometimes I just want to check on her in the middle of the night and all I have to do is push a button to see her sleeping. The comfort that I have with this monitor is worth every penny! We have had it for almost 10 months and it is going strong!!! My husband and I catch ourselves watching her sleep on the monitor at night instead of TV (sad, I know). This was probably one of the best gifts besides the necesities like the crib and changer. Now that I have experienced this monitor first hand, I would probably pay double what they charge for the monitor. If we have another kiddo, all we have to do is buy another video camera that is half the price. This monitor has 2 channels so you can switch back and forth between children. Just one note, keep it pluged in while you are sleeping. The battery life won't make it through the night. For me that's not a problem. during the day when we use it, we use the battery and at night it's plugged in. LOVE IT!!!!

I have gone out and purchased a new monitor with all of my children. So for the 3rd child, I went and got the traditional monitor. Well, with all of my kids, I have also had a small case of "Babby Blues". It was always hard for me to not run in and grab them the second they cried. I was always thinking the worst and couldn't stand not knowing they were okay. So, I was at a friends house who had this video monitor. I had to go get it. When I did, my eyes were glued on that little angel most of the first night. When she woke, I looked in on her throught the monitor and knew she was okay. So I was able to let her calm herslef down. Well, after 4 days she was sleeping through the night. Now, I am able to peek in without her knowing it. I just love it and wish I didn't waste my money on the traditional ones first.
Also, after I am done with using it on my children, I can use it in my garage or exterior to see who is at my door.

This monitor is AWFUL! The feedback is crazy. I have to wake up all night and move it around so it will stop making a static noise. The screen is ok sometimes...just not enough for the price. I wouldn't suggest it to ANYONE!

This monitor has a great picture, but I cannot turn on the volume because it makes a popping/clicking noise wherever I go in the house. Living in a rural area, there should not be any outside interference? The nursery and our bedroom are on the same floor and the popping noise persists while upstairs and down. I bought this product 3 months before my baby was born and did not purchase the buyer protection. Now, I cannot return the monitor. I will try to contact the manufacturer to see if there is anything they can do and/or a possible upgrade. Not worth the money in the end...

Great monitor - love being able to see my little one while she is sleeping. Moderate interference, but nothing I can't live with. HOWEVER, having the AC adaptor for the video break mid nap after 18 months of use is ridiculous. And I find out that it has happened to a few of my girlfriends is absurd. Customer service, although very pleasant, won't replace afer 1 year warranty expires. Its a shame after spending close to $200, that parts start to fail...

I have had this monitor for 2 yrs now and it has worked wonderfully for us. I LOVED being able to view our son at any time while he was in his crib. We still currently use this for our 2yr old. Our home is about 3000sq feet and his room is on the other side of the house so it gives me peace about being able to view him at any time. The monitor does have a little static but not to bad and as I said his bedroom is far away. I can even take it in our yard and it gets pretty good reception on our 1+ acre lot. The picture quality is great. It shows wonderful detail even in the dark!
We recently had another child and purchased the slim digital monitor and I am not happy with it. The picture is horrible compared to this monitor..I will be taking it back to the store and either purchasing a complete monitor set or an extra camera because I am not ready to take it away from my 2yr old!
