I have 3 boys. I didn't have this for my oldest but I wish I did. I bought this for my middle child when he was 2. In one year he had taught himself the alphabet, the individual letters, the sounds that they made, and the numbers. Now my youngest is doing the same thing. I have bought every learning toy under the sun and this one is one of the few that they actually played with and learned from. On top of that it is extremely durable. I have had the same one for 4 years now and it's still ticking. The magnets are big enough that you don't loose them easily. I buy this toy for all of my friends kids and they love it too.

Love it! We got this for my daughter last christmas and she still plays with it. As an educator it's a wonderful toy. It teaches the ABC and the chant for each letter with the sound. EX: A says 'a' A says 'a' every letter has a sound A says 'a'. It's a great toy for someone with a toddler/preschool or a toddler - Kindergarten teacher.

I don't think the clarity of the girls' voice is as good as it needs to be for this product. My kids can't always tell what letter a sound makes and there's really nothing about it that holds their attention. It sings the alphabet song and the jingle for each letter is the same. Lacks creativity.
